I think we the Indians are the unluckiest in the world to lose our own Sanskrit, which taught the world Medicine, Science and Technology , Philosophy , Yoga, Ayurveda and what not ...
This is all because of the British Rule in India... They introduced English education in India for their convenience and we are still following that ... I think it's high time Indians should respect our own Sanskrit by making it the National Language and abolishing English education in India...
    Jai Bharat

We do not need to criticize one culture to appreciate another. We do not need to abolish one language to embrace another. As it is said in Rig Veda ''आ नो भद्राः क्रतवो यन्तु विश्वतः'' ( Let noble thoughts come to me from all direction). We are all part of the one ब्रह्माण्ड (Universe, Cosmos).

Actually most Muslims in India were part of the Mughal Empire who allowed religious freedom and taxed everyone the same, they are regarded as the best Empire of human history above the Romans, unfortunately one of their emperors(Aurangzeb) was not as generous as his father and he did abolish those noble policies, but it all went to waste when the British came and destroyed their forts, melted gold off the ceilings, and set up their own government. Now I don't hate the British, and I am not Muslim, but I can see the good in both. You both need to calm down and refer to the textbooks before slandering a ethnicity, race, religion or culture.
thank you and have a good day

You did not study your history properly if you are blaming Britishers for the demise of Sanskrit in India.
Sanskrit was never the language of Indians. It was the language of Upper-Caste Indians.
Only Brahmins were allowed to read and study Sanskrit. For the commoners, there was Prakrit.
So, when you limit a language to handful of people, how would the rest of Indians be able to write and understand Sanskrit?
Much before Britishers and Islam came to India, an average resident of the Indian subcontinent was speaking in either Hindi or whatever their regional language was. Sanskrit was always limited and thus was easily phased out.

Sanskrit helps me understand original old meaning of many polish words. Polish and other Slavic languages are directly related to Sanskrit, I find MOST Sanskrit words familiar but Latin alphabet makes it easy to corrupt and hide original meaning. I'm very grateful India somehow was able to keep Sanskrit despite muslim and british invaders.

English has actually borrowed words from all languages in Europe and the world. They continue to appropriate words and add to their "dictionary" even today. If every country demanded a "license for usage" from English countries across the world for using their words, they'd all be bankrupt in a day. Language is the intellectual property of a nation, and English thieves continue stealing from all over the world since they don't have a vocabulary or a system.

The more I learn about Kundalini , the more I realize the universe is an energetic hologram as micro to macro. I like to think their was something in the air in south India , the energetic geometry of the land made those men think and act different. When you look at south India. it looks like a Cone or an umbrella . Like a vortex of a magnetic field. I think that geometry impacted their brains. Kundalini science baffles me because it sounds like a bunch of Aliens having a conversation. about the energetic astral space. To THINK there were men who mastered electricity of their own selves!? I still can't believe it .God bless the sanskrit language and those holy men.

Great work. Good luck! Power of Sanskrit Vedas lies in the sound made during pronunciations, words are intended to imbibe gratitude. For example, uttering Om opens the quantum worm hole for our DNA to access infinite knowledge from Savitur, the primordial source of knowledge, Saraswati.

@ Prof. Sundaresan Esq: first you had Sri Rudram and Chamakam and then Srimad Bhagavad Gita and now the lessons in Samskrit. You have the lfull blessings of Sri Mahaa Periyavaa I am happy to recite Sri Rudram and Chamakam with scholars. I made 'arangetram' in Dec 2014 at Sri Sadasiva Brahmendral jeeva samadhi at Nerur near Karur. I continue to recite almost daily. I am able to chant five important Sukhthaas: Sri sukhtham, Purusha sukhtham, Narayana sukhtham, Vishnu sukhtham and Brahma sukhtham and end with 'mantram pushpam'. On Fridays, I redite Sri lalitha Sahasranamam. I have now an eposure to learning Samskrit from you. It's great experience for me. Hope you have translated the dialogue between Sri. Kumarila Pattar and Sri Adi Sankara. Jay jaya Sankara Hara hara Sankara.

Hari Ohm! Nerur is about 10 km from Karur town. It is on the highway connecting via Coimbatore to Kochin. If one engages a taxi from Salem, it will be convenient. The samaadhi is at the back of the Siva temple Kasi Viswanathar. If one passes by Namakkal, there is Vangal Agraharam on the way before reaching the spot. Vangal is a well nown village. At Namakkal, there is Sri Anjabeya temple just opposite to Sri Narasimha and Consort Namagiri. Thayar Namagiri blessed the mathematics prodigy Ramanujam. From Salem the samadhi is a drive of 1 hr and 45 minutes. One can get the darshan at Namakkal after visiting the Samadhi. If one starts around 6:60 am from Salem it is possible to reurn to Salem in the afternoon.
