@@ramirovca It is. But that does not matter to me, and that is coming from a guitarist who can shred the fuck off man. But i prefer to listen that simple melody over crazy shredding with no sense, all day every day.
Try to shred over a Green Day song, sounds awful. It's not that shredding is bad, it just has to have an appropiate musical background or it will suck so much.

He didn't use that Gibson during the recording for 21 Century Breakdown. He used another guitar (probably still Gibson), even if he did use it, the guitar would've been recorded with a mic instead of going direct because it sounds better
