- 15 year old Jasmine was on her way home from school when she passed the public piano and played Clair de Lune. The station was very busy and the piano was not in the best condition for Debussy, but she managed to eclipse the noise and the chaos with her wonderful piano skills.

She really does play the piano beautifully. You could tell that she was shy at first and then started feeling more comfortable. She should continue this talent.

I imagine she has many piano exam passes under her belt. My friend at school did an hour practice every day of the week. I know when we left school she was one grade away from being able to teach piano herself.

One of my favorites, one of the most beautiful and touching pieces ever written... She played beautifully on an out of tune Piano, go for it, you have a gift young lady, use it, use it to bless others and glorify God! My great grandmother was a Concert Pianist and Clair De Lune is one of the pieces she first played, my daughter now plays, she loves DeBussy as does my son.
I think she should play to glorify Spider-Man. That's a fictional hero who did a lot more good for people, did not commit mass murder, didn't promote slavery and wasn't a vengeful psychopath.
That’s what I thought. Dr K, piano sounds like old out-of-tune upright that was great for my parents’ parties.

For some reason Jasmine playing this piece so beautifully on an out of tune slightly ratty public piano made it all the more enchanting and mesmerising.

Debussy is one of my favorites. Especially this song. I love the way she plays this piece. It made me want the piano to be in tune. Yet somehow she still made it sound beautiful. Her feel is amazing. She totally gets the emotion of this piece.
I was applauding at the end. That was really beautiful to listen to. I'm awe struck how anyone can remember such a piece without the music in front of them..
It’s muscle memory. Learn it once and solidify it with practice.

Repetition. When a musician learns hard the music stays with them kinda like riding a bike once learned never forgotten.
Beautifully played, and such a natural talent...she is feeling the music rather than just playing it. And she can talk to you at the same time. And OMG she's 15?!?!?! Brilliant beyond words

"Debussy's harmonies ... I can't explain it". She's absolutely right. Those harmonies are other-worldly, even more so in his later stuff. Amazing that a 15-year-old "gets" Debussy so completely. Hats off.

Debussy wrote most his music while staying in a bungalow overlooking a lake. No wonder his music is so peaceful and dreamy. Nice performance. She was relaxed and not distracted but focussed on the music.

Although this clapped out car is an Elton John piano! It might have a broken string or two, buts it really not that bad. You should see the crap some of us have to play at other public pianos...
So many notes not even there! And the ones that do play are way off.
I bet that there's a bunch of piano tuners who'd love to get that thing going like new again!

Sometimes it’s not what you play it’s how you play, depth of feeling and understanding the music she is playing here is massive - she can go a long way
