What a video! Looking back on all the work we've done on our homestead since July 2020 is really cool to see, from the barn being a straw-filled barn to not even having an a-frame cabin for the chickens...the transformation is truly unbelievable!

Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!

I will admit, it kind of feels like every video you make a little progress here and a little progress there, and you're always so excited about it. It's so cute. And then over the months you put it all together and it really is amazing how far you come. Thank you for letting us come a long.

The barn with the old roof would’ve been a shelter, but the new roof is making a Class A Home. And Fernando’s little kitten voice was so cute.

I used to watch van lifers envious of their travels to beautiful places and the amazing adventures they went on. When COVID-19 changed everyone’s plans, it was amazing to see these amazing adventurers find journeys and adventures in living daily life. That was an important lesson that I think we can all take to heart. Living life to the fullest doesn’t have to take you to the ends of the world but just happens in smiling and enjoying every day and all the laughs and challenges each day might bring. Camera shots of simple things like chickens scratching in the grass or a kitten mewing really bring to everyone’s attention the beauty that we so often overlook. Thank you Bea and Theo for sharing your outlook on living an adventurous life both on the road and at home.🥰
I LOVE how you interspersed clips of happy moments and shots of the animals with the build time lapse. It really gave this video a heartwarming tone. So beautiful, you guys!
I almost started crying when the storms from last fall showed up in the video. You guys where so heart broken over all the problems and the water damege that was done to the roof. And that broke my heart 💔😭😭

I love this overview of what’s happened so far. You guys are so good at just sticking with it! You don’t seem to let things get you down you just plug along. I love your laughter and your generosity to one another and your love of the land and the people there and just tackling all those different jobs and not knowing anything about them is so wonderful. I’m 74 years old and love watching you because it gives me hope for the future generations. I know in myself that there are lots of young people out there doing the right thing, living good lives being great people. loved this. I remembered all the bits. I was grateful you had help from the guys for all the heavy lifting bits and also angry with them when they messed up and walked out on that fateful Friday the 13th. That is when Bea and Theo donned their superpower skills and brought this project to the fantastic place they are at now.

I just think that the BEST most AMAZING thing is that you've been through all of this and there have been NO INJURIES!! Just think what the story would've looked like if in the middle of all this the whole project had to come to a screeching halt for a number of months because of an accident. I started by watching old videos of van builds and the long boat. Then it was the beginning of the pandemic with you stuck in a house. The ride to Portugal. Now strangely I feel like we've all gone through this last year plus together.
