His face explains everything...he literally feels the music
EduACV Can’t play the blues well if you can’t feel it in your soul
As long as his fingers continue to cash the checks his face writes.
agree
It’s like he’s singing through the guitar
@@Mortimer_Duke I think I know what you mean, but could you define the meaning behind that for me?
The facial expressions of this kid are those of a 50 year old bluesman. I love it.
It really shows that he enters a new world when he holds that guitar, and that just shows how amazing the effect of good music is :')
Adria Millas Luque i think he’s too wannabe
I hate it
That's too much
Ahahahhahahahahahahah
Future of blues appears to be in good hands .
This comment right here is way underrated. U so damn right bro. 🤟🏻

Mark: How you doin?
Little kid: Good, you?
Mark:
Little kid: ):
Lol 😂 mark Knows he is better lol 😂
Mark's an idiot.
It's like if Stevie Ray Vaughan and B.B King had a kid but somehow Ron Weasley got into the mix
hahaha Exactly! lmao
How? Lol
perfect definition 🔥🔥🔥
@@FunkyPhilMusic yes
Regardless of his age, this is one of the most enjoyable and best sounding solos I've heard recently. He has an inbuilt sense of dynamics and great taste for licks, runs etc. Magnificent.
Imagine when he's 50 years
he play's better then some adult's.sound's better then ''rap'',or punk.i never seen a 13 yr.old play like this...this will make you love the blue's,if you did'ent before..great stuff.
imagine when he's 20 or 30. It won't take till he's 50.
Verdade meu rei
Vai ser uma lenda
FiddleStick's bessette Yo, learn how to spell homie
Its actually really crazy to think about how he's just going to keep getting better and better with how young he is.
Exactly, as long as he keeps listening to Texas blues guitarists albums. That style was invented there.
I wonder who is playing through this young soul ? He’s hosting someone great, that’s for sure. Amazing !!
This awesome boy make me cry when i watch him play, it comes from his soul.
He's feeling what he's playing! :)
The kids great even has the proper facial expressions😄😖😫☺️🤪😎🤩
no they’re wack
Jared Chavis what?
Those facial expressions are what happens when you feel the music...
Mort Wally 😂
Yep: kid has the john Mayer face moves
Kid's gonna be the new wave John Mayer.
Already got them faces going
This kid IS LEGIT! I’ve been following him on Facebook for last couple years and the way he’s been evolving is incredible! Future guitar hero in the making!

Yep, arthritis that s my excuse.
The kid : playing
The guy : he realizes he better play the recorder
Mark your playing just blew me away
I love marks face around 2:45 when we realize the kid is in fact a human. awesome kid.
He is like BRUH
Lol. He's been mine for the past 5 years. Welcome to the club ☺
I've been playing the guitar for years and this just makes me feel like an amateur. Great job!
it's not about the years, it's about giving it your all.. I'm pretty sure you could be as good in a few months of focused practicing. Kids good, but it just stock playing. He gets cred because he's young.
2:05 most satisfying thing on earth
Sounds so much like Bonamassa
That was nice
Dorian Voka hell yeah
*2:06
That's soul right there, in someone that young that's impressive. Also hear a BB king and SRV influence
Beating that guitar like it owes him money. Nice.
You go kid! It is just WRONG for someone to put a dislike on this video!
EricBlackmonGuitar Agreed
EricBlackmonGuitar Maybe because his face looks like he’s feeding non an animal’s carcass.
Aquela essência do B.B King
Pure hate

Boy! That was great!!
Michele Trevisiol I think so!

I was thinking he was only gonna be alright, but dear god can he play.
Edit: AND HE’S GOT A PROPER GUITAR FACE
He kinda looks like the guy from futurama
Fry you uncluttered swine.
The Trench he does look a little like fry

Young man, you have a long career ahead of you. Just remember .... sometimes it's what you don't play .... leave a little space.
As was once said about a young George Benson; "He'll be a monster when he slows down"
Clayton Florand right! But he’s young. He’ll figure that out later on. I did the same thing when I was young. Never that young! Like a naked woman and a woman who’s dressed to kill. They both look great. But leave a little to the imagination. Keep them hanging on every note. Where’s joe bonamassa when ya need him.
I may be wrong...but I believe joe bonamassa is somewhat of a mentor to Toby Lee
TessaSnap oh no kidding. I don’t know. I’ve just found this kid. From this video. I went and checked his channel. That would make a lot of sense. Cuz I think I hear a little bit of B.B. and a touch of joe in him. Joe of course played with B.B. when he was around the same age. That’s s great video aswell
Good advice. Music is half sound - half SILENCE. I think little Toby is starting to believe all the horseshit people and the press are telling him about himself.Prodigy...Genius...Best since... Blah blah.
You're good kid- but all I heard there was a bunch of canned licks laid end-to-end and played as fast as your little hands would go. That AIN'T the blues. My advice - listen more - a lot more - play less - a lot less. Go live life and pay some dues - go broke a cpl times... Lose a woman or two... You already have the chops - now you need some PAIN kid. PAIN you can funnel through that guitar.
just one word ! WOW ! 🎸💙 don't break your head young man with people thumbing down , it's just jealousy ! or they don't know nothings about blues !
Wow! This lad is rocking them blues like there's no tomorrow. Just look at them facial expessions, that's pure emotion right there!
Remember when the master Albert King said, "The blues is a feeling..." well this lad is the reincarnation of that statement.
Even though he plays very fast, he seems well aware of melodic phrasing, in the end of their jam he plays some sweet licks. But he also seems to be a fan of guys like Hendrix and SRV, who really liked speeding up, even the blues. Great playing, kid's got a bright future! Long Live Rock and Roll and Long Live The Blues!
This kid is awesome. Love it!! He even has the Joe Bonomasso face going on. Dayuummm!!!
I wish this guy nothing but the best for the future. A truly truly talented young man.
This kid just touched my spirit, he plays with heart felt feeling and emotion, I can feel those cords, amazing....
for sale: all of my goddamn equipment immediately!
Hah, no kidding (pardon the pun). There are so many talented people in this world.
Couldnt agree more
Yeah. It's hard not to feel just a tad inadequate after a performance like that...
Hope he has a good Accountant. What a delight. Thanks!
I love how he uses different expressions while he's playing
Just gotta love how this kid is just enjoying himself. Respect! Keep up the good job lil buddy.
Amazing...thanks for the post..
Wow wait until we are 5 years later. Bugger he is one if not the best young player at Norman's Rare Guitars
Did I smell a little B.B. king cooking in there? Great sound kid! Your gonna be fun to follow over the next few years. Can’t wait to see where you go with that talent
Timothy Cormier yeah definitely some bb high notes there😂😂
Timothy Cormier Yes, he played at B.B. KING'S Blues Club when he was 10.
he's been influenced listening to BB KING, but maybe other artist styles seem to be in evident in the mix,, and his own. Blazing fast runs. Move over guitar god Eric Claton, there is a new kid on the block and he is going places.
Curtis John Cole he also seems to really like the limelight. Not shy at all. That was my problem. I loved playing in my band and everything that came with it. Except playing on stage. Hahahaha I just felt like everyone was starring at me.it made me self conscious and I would mess up. This kid clearly does not have that problem
Timothy Cormier the way today’s music industry is, probably nowhere since he’s actually talented.
Just Watching his face shows the music is in his soul
Thank you CZcams algorithm for this! This is one cool dude👍
This young Bluesman is Comming -up! And yes Toby, We'll be seeing you around! Looking forward to it young man!👋😎💯👏
He’s gonna be great when he’s older. Just needs to leave room for the notes once in a while “working up to the dynamic” as John Mayer calls it! Great stuff kid
Couldnt agree more

Agree as well. Somewhere, there’s supposed to be a song. Kids amazing talent...let the song breath.
559 thumbs down...gets me every time. Who are these people? Awesome work kid!
They are all Leftist LEPTONS that don't know when they're listening to someone great!!!!
They were probably left for Mark. The poor kid just got associated with him lol.
There is no reason for the thumbs down, those folks who do that are idiots who don't recognize talent!
People who don't like spanky white man blues. I didn't thumb up or down, but this does nothing for me. True guitar talent to me is more what not to play than playing every boring blues scale you know. It is just a kid though, so I didn't thumb down.
Bots
C'mon hahah how is this possible? When I was a child I dreamed of being able to play that way!
This little guy is a fookin master!Great work!!
The face says it all!!.. The kid was making that 🎸 sing & cry at the same time...that's the BLUES
Tobey is killing it on that guitar
I really like the thick reverb. Nice job my friend. Keep that up.
Geez this kid has a future! I'm 42 and don't remember kids having this much musical talent back in my day. There's something to be said for modern technology and human will.
3:48, Sends chills every time :)
So cool! To see anyone play that well but especially a kid! No sugar coating it, he’s legit.
Thats the reason Blues will Never die......new Kids will love it......
Kid is transferring the music from inside of his soul into the guitar..the proof is in the facial expression..
Holy cow man!! I just went to his CZcams channel (Toby lee). This kid has played with everyone and everywhere. So I subscribed. I’m hooked kid!
Timothy Cormier I’m gonna check it out right now
I think it’s worth a look. Just my opinion. He’s playing so really nice guitars
Curtis John Cole Hahahaha yeah he is a bit goofy. But he’s 13 years old. Weren’t we all goofy looking at that age. Yeah he’s good. I’m 45 yrs old and this 13 year old kid has inspired me to play and practice harder.
Timothy Cormier I have to subscribe too, He's amazing! Thanks for the heads up.
Checking it out now!
This kid wails 🇺🇸⚓️ love that he mentioned SRV first
Who would have thought that the future of Blues would be in the hands of a red head kid from England? He is simply amazing.
This kid is absolutely amazing
KID one advice, you are now so good, keep up this !
not bad...not a little punk ass either.. he's going places
Which palaces?
Mookie Jones could be any of um the way he plays
Also my spell check needed a spell check. Shame...he's a great talent.
Well we need more punk in the world 🙃
Julian Potter Music I agree. But not more punk ass
your face while playing is top tier. love it
I was blown away boy😄
Every time I think I’m good at guitar, I always see someone who is just insane at it.
I idle him and hes so much younger then me and can shred like that. My hat is off to you
1:29 when you think about that one girl
Great job !! I say give him that Guitar, he deserves it ;)
Freakin BLOWN away. !!!! U GO KID !!!! DAMN GOOD..
That young man is mustard mate, unbelievable. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🎸👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🎸👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Damn that kid is a beast. Controls the distortion with picking at that age? Sick.
unreal. for all the negative focus our world gets, we still have this. that kind of talent is something that should always be made worth while
If you ever saw SRV play, he would play with this passion that he became part of his guitar, dare I say an extension of it. This kiddo plays very much the same, if you watch his body language as he plays. The notes are a natural thing. That is a gift, that I'm sure Mr Vaughan is looking down and smiling upon. Seen some other of these child "prodigies". This child has it IN him. Excellent.
Feels the music wayyy down in his SOUL.....❤
Good grief! Simply fantastic! This kid is completely in/with the music/tunes. An old soul for sure! Thanks a lot for sharing.
Great Sound young man!! 5/2019
The faces he pulls classic
When you find your talent early
Blues will be alive and well for many decades to come with this new generation of wizards!!
Nice. I had that exact guitar he's playing back in 94. Lost it in a flood that destroyed my neighborhood and my house. along with my marshall stacks, acoustic gibson guitars, my 58 hollow body fender bass guitar, and my hammond b3 and all my recordings on reel to reel for 30 years. Always protect your equipment.
The beginnings of a great blues/rock guitarist. All great blues guitar players play what they feel and you can't expect a 13yr old to feel too much yet. That is where the space will develop. He needs to experience things like heartbreak, streets and get in a few bar fights first lol. He has great vibrato which is a battle that many guitar players sometimes never overcome. He has some creative ideas in there and with time will really come in handy when he masters how to introduce them into his licks perfectly. If I had any advice at all young man I would say this to you. Be more in tune with making every single note that you strike count and don't worry about how impressive any run looks to others. The scales are there so that you have everything you need to say what you need to say. Now the next level is to strategically choose the best notes for the best phrases that come not from your mind but from your heart and soul. Tell that story and make people feel and believe it. You're doing great just keep playing don't ever stop and don't EVER at any point in your career think that you have nothing more to learn. That is the kiss of death for all musicians 😉👊
WTF?! What a great talent !
Is Mark's volume on 1
Jason Lee but all EQ at noon and a whole bunch of reverb
he plays the guitar while on mute
Wow that was great!!!
I don’t believe I just saw this. Amazing!
How about Norman giving this kid a high-quality vintage guitar?
It is a truly GREAT guitar shop...
Blues with a distortion with a lot of reverb= NOICE.
Jon Esqueda yea he does. Young musicians (I’m 17 so I’m one too) have better capabilities then grown men because we young musicians learn more every time we play. Older musicians I think do not as much because they just play what they know. Young musicians just are so more musically minded in my opinion. Like me. I can make up a really cool guitar riff like right there. I just play some stuff and make it all connect ya know. Same thing with soloing you just have to feel it and feel where you want to go with it. You have to feel the music lol
Throwing my guitar in the dumpster. I've made peace with it now.
Deric Kettel it should make you try harder. Don’t give up. It took me forever to get good. Because if u don’t quit u will get it.
Awww...go back and get it, dumpster diver! It ain't a horse-race, or even a tractor pull--you play the blues for your SOUL, not to score on American Idol...
Deric Kettel doubt that’s his
God you stole my words 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Throwing my air guitar in the dumpster!
the guitar solo face is strong on this one, i love it!
No one is better than him at this age! And he’s got the good looks too!
He’s the whole package!
Way to go, Toby!!!
2:55 best part
I was waiting for more dynamics but hot damn the kid can play.
Marks thoughts while filming this: hey why not film a video that will make every guitar player that watches it depressed cuz theyll never be that good
My sentiments exactly , ,,,,,,,lol
I thought I was that good......
Nah dude never think that man, as musicians we all got our strengths and weaknesses.
its a joke
I didn't get depressed. Because Toby, or anyone else, plays really well doesn't make me any less. Inspires me, it's good Mojo to listen to excellent players. Better if you can be around them in person.
Johnny Lang must be proud of you ... you have a potential, your feeling shows up. keep it up.. With the guys like you ..Blues never dies!!!!!!.
His face was amasing, and so also his bluesplaying.
I’ve heard dudes playing for 30 years that don’t even come close to this youngster.
3:22 he’s so in the groove.
Guitar, 10 out of 10. Facial expression11. I need to practice....
Wow! This kid plays with FEELING!!!
outstanding...looove Toby's work
