Fun fact: top 1s in 2.1 will be easier compared than recent levels in the 2.2 update (levels with literal super intense camera shaking and very very easy to make hard gameplay)

The level editor is the main reason why GD is still alive & on hype - without those gorgeous levels that people make, without these ridiculously hard extremes being created & verified, without all of that a mazing experience Level Editor offered to us, GD just was one of those games like flappy bird that get known for being hard & forgotten right after everybody played it for 2 minutes. Moreover, even without 2.2 release, the game's editor is already advanced enough to create Absolutely anything inside of it, which is getting proved every single day when new banger leaves come out, new mods being made, new bugs getting discovered & new difficulty milestone reached. 2.11 is Already have infinite potential inside of it, and even if 2.2 actually never gets released, this game will live as long as people walk on the Earth's surface
Exactly what I was thinking, the editor is so advanced that we still have decades of potential to milk out of 2.1. Even then the new top 5s coming out pretty frequently also help the game thrive.

GD does not need 2.2 to save itself. the game is going stronger than ever this day
1:20 nope. until early 2020 I played gd world and got to around 1200 stars (rebeated some in full version which are saved to my account but most of them I never replayed)
I highly doubt it could survive for another 5 years without the community shrinking significantly, but tbf it has done really well so far.

hi! im working on a video very similar to this and i promise im not trying to copy you. i had the idea around a week ago and have been working on the script and editing since. our videos would overlap at points such as the game being community driven and immortal, we both talk about the necessity of the editor and the competition with demons and level making. i am so so so sorry if this comes off as me trying to copy you.
while our videos differ at points where i mention memes, community driven projects (ex: the GD 2.2 PS), and also how games like geometry dash and minecraft have no limits on the growth of their community because of the people who make up the community (at the same time people are growing out of geometry dash, more people are growing into it because there's like children who play this game and then grow up playing it, but even if they stop playing there will always be more children who this game appeals too.) i think we may have had very very similar ideas, would it be ok if i continued with the production of that video? ill credit you in the description and if i remember ill pin a comment linking to this video too if thats ok. thank you so much! im so sorry if this is inconvenient for you. thank you for taking the time to read my comment! i hope this is alright.

I think robtop should remove platformer and whatever other mode he has that is too complicated and move it to 2.3. Why? Play gdps and tell me the epic and featured levels(excluding platformers) aren't big enough for 2.2. The game already feels different with the cameras, shaders and player going to opposite way seamlessly, platformer in of itself is like a different game. Watch 3RROR by angel996 and tell me that isn't already big enough with its triggers.
