a few things -
I didn't know there was dust on the lens until after, so that's annoying lol
the fact that we don't get a full client for digital is very disappointing and lazy on their part. it would be okay if we delayed both games so the digital client offered both styles of formats. I will say that it would be terrible to sit through 30-45 minutes per game on the digital client each time.
I'll reserve my judgement of the new card game until it's completely out, since the art and text are mostly temporary.
Thanks for this video! I was hoping you would show some of the cards so we could see how some of the cards read, especially how the big cost cards read and what skills they use!
Huge note as well, when I talked to the gentleman running the demo he noted that at least as far as he's aware there will be no counter:attack or counter:play cards in the game. Obviously that helps speed things up on the digital version, but it's still a big loss IMO.
very true. I don't mind it honestly, since it's not a loss as Masters will still be around.
It definitely does upset me that the digital version will not be getting the “masters” format, however I still will love to play it but the “fusion world” format seems more kid friendly and super simple and I definitely see me getting bored with that

Ok so it’s the same game with the added effect of second player gets extra energy and instead of choosing which cards to mulligan your whole hand is mulliganed instead. My biggest question is can we splash already existing card pool and vise versa for masters?
No this won't be possible. This is an entire new game! Totally different cards. The major difference is that there are no counter cards at all in this game! You don't have to think about any counter window since they won't print any counter:attack cards nor counter:play cards

@@ericg1100 facts , I can see that happening, that’s why I stopped buying cards and making decks, which sucks bc I really do enjoy playing the game, my locals held a solid 10-15 players and when they announced this, now we have like 4-6 ppl bc the others quit and sold there stuff , so they def killing masters and sucks they know bout this , for a 14billion dollar company they def could have just fixed masters, Yugioh does it all the time wit a rule change, Bandai could have done it wit this instead of making a whole new game

I think it depends on their intentions. if fusion world eventually replaces masters, then definitely. they can have separate tournaments on different days of the weekend too. but why play a harder game if the prizing is the same? they'd have to make masters prizing very good in comparison.

@@StageZeroTCG okay as a casual fan, I don't mind that because the reason I switched over to one piece was since it was simpler. Maybe this new one gets me back into the main game but I am disappointed to find out I can't use the desktop client to do that
This is for sure exciting for returning player or new player trying to get in. However it feels like a big middle finger to all those loyal players that have been sticking with the game since set 1 6 years ago... maybe bandai will continue to support both games but i highly doubt it. Why would you split your development resources for two almost identical game? I dont think masters will outright die. But i can see it been slowly sundown over the next 1 to 2 years.
I mean Konami does it with Yu GI Oh. Theres actually 3 different formats now with the physical card game, Duel Links, and Master Duel.

@relyfealternative3736 I am not sure those players that are very passionate about masters would want to play go b and play a simplified version of master which is what fusion world is. It's totally like 2 different game.

I think we're all disappointed about the digital client. I'm not sure why people are stressing about the og game tho
I think people are worried it will split the market and kill off masters for this “new” physical and digital card game which makes sense. Overall this is bad PR and could cause a lot of the current community to leave the game.

Fusion world looks awful, I'm not too concerned about it doing anything negative to masters.

Aside from the bait and switch with Digital, Fusion World is really exciting. I wish people wouldn’t act like simplicity = less fun especially when we don’t even know what these decks are capable of.
Until they need to reinvent the game so that it’s not stale.
Honestly, I think they got the digital game mostly done and when it came time to implement all of the crazy interactions DBS has they had to sit down with developers and come up with a plan to pivot.
As in they built the game with like set 1 cards in mind for the mvp and realized the literal paragraphs of interactions were too hard to implement. So they decided to scrap the classic DBS game, but they already had more DBS sets in the pipeline so I bet they let those sets ship and then slow down on masters releases.
This reboot will be good to the player base. Dbs has been dying with its numbers dropping and was only in english speaking locations, Germany, mexico, and france
Dbs fw will now be world wide so getting japan, Korea, thailand, etc. Vanguard did this too, the first year of the reboot the old format was ignored yes but after that both format were ran together and product printed for both.
