I feel that he should've talked about the legal side of songwriting, just so we get all the points. But I really enjoyed these sessions. Greetings from the Dominican Republic.
Thank You!!
I appreciate your lifelong commitment in bringing songs to us. Your songs are anointed and can melt the hardest hearts.
You are my sifu. I am determined to learn and commit the same.
I think I need to rewrite some of my songs especially the verses.
This series was very enlightening and educative! Thank you for sharing ❤️.
Thank you for watching!
Good stuff Paul. I've been doing some rewrites during this quarantine. Trying to find people who will give objective feedback...not so easy.
On the subject of rewriting... I once got an entire chorus while vacuuming, it just "came to me". So I worked on a couple of verses, wasn't super excited about them, but I had that chorus. I brought it to the band I was in, basically a bunch of mates who liked to play and sometimes did dates locally, usually under a different moniker every time. I digress. My friend listened to the song and said, "the verses I like, but you need a different chorus." He was right of course, and he's one of my very dearest friends to this day.
