- This Video Is About Thirteen Lives Movie Cast and Crew Interviews. Thirteen Lives is based on the incredible true story of a global effort to save a Thai soccer team who became trapped in the Tham Luang cave after an unexpected rainstorm. On June 23, 2018, the team became trapped in the cave. Faced with insurmountable odds, a team of the world's most skilled and experienced divers join forces with Thai forces and over 10,000 volunteers to attempt a harrowing rescue of the twelve boys and their coach. The group embarks on their most difficult dive yet, demonstrating the limitlessness of the human spirit in the process, with the entire world watching and the stakes impossibly high.
The film is directed by Ron Howard. The story was written by William Nicholson and co-written by Don Macpherson and William Nicholson.

Thirteen Lives will be released in select theaters on July 29, 2022, before becoming available on Amazon Prime Video on August 5th.

Finally a long video with in depth interviews. Well done!
The movie was terrific and inspiring. One thing that gave me a great chuckle was the dialogue between Rick and John about the "custard creams" (cookies). This chuckle came up twice in the movie and I wonder if this really occurred. Loved it when Rick ate 2 and John retorted "you are just like a child!....I don't care about the custard creams but as I tell my son, it's about trust. I am disappointed." (To which Rick just says flatly "OK"). Total chuckle!
The young Thai water engineer was particularly thoughtful in his comments. His expertise was in science however he took a very human approach to problem solving.
This movie was astonishing….it got to me more than the documentary.
This movie looks awesome
Did the diver's get an award cos they shew the actors how to save the boys in the film and they rescued the thirteen boys before a film was going to be made so well done to all

Honestly disappointed at how they let go of some *togetherness* of the thais. Like the kids chosing who go home first based on where they lived, or the parents agreeing they wouldn't know whose kids get out first until the operation is over. But that's more on me kinda nitpicking
emasculation of asian men..🤦♂
I was really disappointed with the way Rick Stanton was portrayed. With a story of this magnitude, who the hell gives a stuff about crispy cream biscuits. I think it really devalued the historic relevance of this situation. I was disappointed with the movie.

The movie is not even accurate. The first people who came to lay the rope from the beginning to the T junction was Ben and Maksim they did the toughest job and they’re the ones who made the operation continued if it wasn’t for them Rick and John wouldn’t have made it further. Ben and Maks are also the true heroes but not even mentioned 😅.. watch “the 13, untold story” you’ll see it clearly
