  • Visiting Nebraska for the first time. We see the Carhenge art installation near Alliance, Scott's Bluff and the Chimney Rock, Spike Tower overlooking the largest rail yard in the world, and then Lincoln and Omaha. We also make a quick trip into Kansas to see the Geographical Center of the Contiguous United States.

Hopefully you'll see this. I recently ran across your channel while researching next years trip to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons area. I have so much to say..... Your voice and your accent are actually very calming and enjoyable to listen too. You seem to be well educated and knowledgeable of what and where you currently are. This video, about Nebraska was spot on as well. I live in Omaha and have for a few years (Kansas City is my hometown) as work brought me to Omaha. I worked on the Railroad (Union Pacific Railroad) for nearly 41 years and Omaha is home of our Corporate Headquarters for the company. You are right that not many East/West Coasters know or care much about this part of the country and just to see your expressions and hear you say that it is nice, was a pleasant thing to hear and for you to say. Anyways, I just wanted to drop in and say how much I enjoy your travel videos. Happy Traveling. :-)

Thanks for this video. I am an Omaha native but have lived all over, including NYC. Always enjoy heading back to Omaha and my home state of Nebraska. Also, if you do decide to come back to the "Midwest", consider visiting the Nebraska Sandhills, which are up north of I-80. A lot of history and a lot of beauty. From Ft Robinson on the west to the Niobrara River on the east of this region. Give it a try. You might run into me later this year. Keep up the good work.

For several years some friends of mine and I would randomly point on a map and travel there in the summer when our work would slow down. As a result I’ve been to Nebraska. We took one route there and another back. I really enjoyed it there. Met some wonderful people and have many cherished memories. Loved Omaha. Such a quaint and charming city. Still need to see North Dakota, Minnesota, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas to complete my west of the Mississippi quest. I’ve ticked off most of the east coast except Vermont, GA and FLA. I have friends in all those places so hope to go one day. Thanks for inspiring people to see the beauties right here at home.

What a small world. I was in North Platte in early August on the way back to NJ from Colorado. I went to the Golden Spike tower and saw the Union Pacific Big Boy steam locomotive that they rebuilt in time for the 150 year anniversary of completing the first transcontinental railroad! I also got gas at that same exact station and pump that you did in town! LOL! I guess Kevin Bacon was correct with his 6 degrees of separation! Happy travels. We are all itching for the country to reopen.

It's impossible to see all of great places in a state in a single trip, especially when you're on a schedule. Whenever you get back to the state, consider the Museum of the Fur Trade in Chadron--it's another gem and not necessarily well know outside of fur trade aficionados. We stumbled across it years ago and it was wonderful!

Great video, we have a grand-daughter due to be born this summer in Lawrence Kansas and though we would do a trip through Nebraska. This is a great help! If you return to Omaha, the Zoo is wonderful. Also, Downtown KC is fabulous and is know as the City of Fountains

Hello Traveling Robert! Nebraska IS a very overlooked state indeed. Years ago my family and I drove across the country along I-80 all the way to Monterey,CA to visit my brother, who is in the military and stationed in Monterey. One of our overnight stops was Kearney, Nebraska and a nice town it was. We enjoyed a delicious steak dinner and also visited the Archway Monument the next morning before we continued driving to the west. Such a beautiful state and so many farmlands and cows lol. Next time I drive through there I will drive the Historic Lincoln Highway, which parallels I-80 all the way through Nebraska. Great video Robert and looking forward to the video through Iowa and beyond, oh and by way, my son who is autistic really enjoyed hearing your theme song...im riding riding in my rv😊...

Great video as usual Robert. I plan to visit Scott`s Bluff National Monument, also, during my trip in September, God Willing. I plan to stop off there on my way from Cheyenne, Wyoming, to Custer State Park, South Dakota. Keep up the Good Work and Stay Safe.....

I really enjoyed your video of my hometown, Omaha. Knowing how much you like trains, you might want to visit the Durham Museum on 10th Street near the Old Market in the future. I think you can still tour train cars from the 40s and 50s. You might also enjoy Strategic Air command & Aerospace Museum where about 35 planes and jets are on display. It's located off I-80 between Lincoln and Omaha. Thanks for another wonderful video!

The Archway: very interesting museum for me; documenting efforts of pioneers and life on Trails; history lesson. Looks much bigger when you are inside. I understand that not everybody cares.
