This looks way nicer than the regular candy wrap where you twist the paper ends but then it looks kinda crumpled.

Does the thickness of the paper matter? Because my paper ripped when I tried to tie the bows on both ends. I was really gentle too. What should I do?
I used carddstock. Unfortunately thin paper will probably not do so well.
Tape it and then put ribbon over that? That's what I'm doing.
How do I do this with 10 pairs of socks in one?
Does it have to be a square?
