A great defensive performance away against a very strong German team, but we needed a bit more attack and players making themselves available to bring the ball out, not to keep passing the ball back to the goalie. Clearly we missed Kevin Phillips in that part of the game and did not have a replacement able to cover that job, so we suffered and kept giving the ball back when closed down high up the pitch. It will be different at Wembley. And sorry, but you would think this was the first time Graelish has come on as a sub or started for England. Since when was 25 mins in how many he has appeared make him a priority for England. You would think he had 2 assists and a goal in this game, or that we didn't have chances that were missed before he came on. These pundits who have their favourites have to think about England with logical facts not as some computer game with their favourite characters and grow up. Peace and love.
This England squad totally has the ability and potential to beat this German team. Southgate’s in game management just so poor as usual, never make changes initiatively , as a Chelsea fan , I don’t understand how mount was on the pitch till 70 minutes while he been playing poorly, especially when you are goal down . If grealish and Bowen can comes on 10 + minutes earlier, England would have did much better for my view .
