I've been watching for about 2 weeks! What great find. I've been frugal-ing my entire adult life. My parents were very frugal so I just carried on the tradition. For me it is a game. You both embody and live what I feel most of us miss from our formative years. I come from 4 generations of pioneer farmers in my county and have benefitted and been blessed by their hard work. My kids went through that stage of not wanting crusts on their sandwiches. I would cut the crusts off, toss them in the freezer, when the bag was full, I would make croutons. And those same kids would gobble them up! 🤣 I enjoy your channel Frugal Money Saver I am in Wisconsin. My son studied in Norway, I used to send him care packages and postage was not so bad 15 years ago.

50,000 Subscribers Congratulations Emmy, & Paul. I learned making your own convenience foods, from my mother. i never buy convenience foods because I don't use them. When food got so expensive, the condiments went out, and I upgraded my spice rack, because herbs, and spices flavor your foods so condiments are no longer needed. I dry my herbs in my dehydrator, then I grind them in my electric spice grinder, and pack into ball jars. FRUGAL MONEY SAVER Great Video! From Ct in Ga

I have to tell you I went to the store and bought a 3 pound bag of apples . I did count them and I found one with 13 in it . The first one only had 6. Same price!!! Wonderful tip. The Honey Bear idea is so cute. I already just refill my tiny dish soap bottles because I don't like a giant bottle sitting on the counter but the bear is such a great idea. I also am a saver of butter wrappers, sometimes I toss one on top of my steamed vegs as well, the butter melts right over top of the vegs. I really enjoy your channel and all of your tips for being frugal.

Congrats on 50k! I've only been watching this year, it was fun catching up on all the videos. I live in Australia. This year we have been spending less each week on food than last year despite inflation. We've been eating healthier and more varied foods, but we've become even better at grocery shopping. The big changes for us were the kitchen inventory, even if it's broad brush, and planning ahead for socialising. Gooey French cheeses freeze well and are discounted when they are finally ripe! Bonus.

My recent practical way to reduce spending was this: the pin holding my bracelet watch clasp to the band slipped out somehow and my watch bracelet fell apart. I took a straight pin, inserted it into the wee hole on the clasp. Then I took a pair of needle-nosed plyers, bent the straight pin around the clasp and clipped off the end. Voila! I fixed my watch for free. Yea me. Diane in NC

Since “accidentally” finding Frugal Money Saver 1 year ago I am now a faithful viewer.
The tidbits you share remind me of my childhood days that I have incorporated in my adulthood-
I do freeze many “spoonfuls” of leftovers into an ice tray then add to future meals-
My grandmother always said husbands bring in the bread only to have their wife to throw it out the back door! Therefore, I am diligent to use all leftovers.

I found Frugal Money Saver about 4 months ago, and found it so helpful that I went back to view all the wonderful tips from previous videos. I currently live in Texas, but have lived in many states and overseas. I have always been naturally frugal, but now that I am retired it is even more important, especially now with our current economy, so thanks for all you do. I quit buying brown sugar. I make it as needed. Molasses and white sugar.I pour what I need in a sandwich bag and add molasses and seal bag and mix the two together. I also made cream of chicken soup for recipes that need the soup. I have bought coffee out maybe 3 times in the last few years. I am not home and my daughter doesn’t drink coffee. I bought her a coffee maker that she can pull out when I am there. I paid for the coffee pot in making my own in 3 cups. Frugal Money Saver is the channel I make sure to watch on Friday. It has been two great years and from Colorful Colorado. Thank you for your work to help others.

Improvise -- absolutely. Yesterday my husband was talking about buying a medium size Rubbermaid container on Amazon for his grill accessories (he's the spender, I am the frugal one). I asked what size he needed and suggested we "shop at home". For him, it would have been easier for him to click a button (instant gratification), rather than go on a hunt, but I spent 5 minutes looking and came back with the perfect size that was in our garage. In a way, it was even more instant than waiting for an Amazon package. He was thrilled. Oh, and Frugal Money Saver (no s -- ;) )
