Closing Bell: D-St settles at fresh peak! Sensex jumps 391 pts, Nifty tops 24,400; ITC, M&M rise 2% each
In early trading on Tuesday, equity benchmark indices saw a resurgence driven by purchases of blue-chip stocks and inflows from foreign funds. The 30-share BSE Sensex rose by 205.99 points to reach 80,166.37, while the NSE Nifty increased by 53 points, reaching 24,373.55.
