I think Acolyte needed the second season, as you said to tie up loose ends and finish character arcs, but I can understand why it was cancelled and agree that the writer could have done the show differently. However, this is what we have. Acolyte may not be a masterpiece, but at the end of the day it's Star Wars, a multi-movie and series franchise that tells the story of an entire universe. Not everything will be perfect because it CANNOT be perfect. Everyone has their own idea of Star Wars. All the writers and directors are doing is showing their idea to the greater fanbase.
2:59 tbh i don't rly care about the acolyte, sure its a mess and sure, its creators are more toxic then the undertale fandom but i didn't really watch the show and it getting cancelled might actually benefit the star wars community
I'd like a 'Legacy of Bane' animated show in Clone Wars style. Where it displays different Sith (Bane, Zannah, Tenebrous, Plaguies) in the Bane Line. The show would show their training and then them killing their Masters.
Well Boba Fett and Obi-Wan were meant to be one season shows. Now between those two Boba deserves and needs a second season. Kenobi I feel is good as is and is a nice finished, well rounded story. I'm not saying Kenobi doesn't deserve another season... Just not needed. Now the difference between these shows and The Acolyte is that they were built to be one offs and Acolyte was meant to be a multi season show.
If you want a ending and to explain why DP was in the cave here is my personal explanation. DP tracked them down to that point after finding out they nearly revealed that the Sith are alive and well to the Jedi, which would interfere with his plans. DP comes out of the cave, he then mocks them for being nothing more than minuscule pests, if they had not risked his plans he would have let them live, because they were of no importance to him, for being so small in power and unimportant to grand scale of the galaxy, but they had to get in his way, and for that they must pay. DP brutally kills them both and afterwards says what a tragedy. Edit: Also DP would have tracked down the Jedi that knew that the Sith are alive and killed them in a so called accident. That way there is no risk to his plans.
