Warning Spoiler! It ends with her song, she quits the relationsship with him in her deep meaningful performance. He didnt expect that and was so embarressed of his guilt that he makes an accident. And her eye recovered again but just a bit. And she also hides that she changes her eyedropes so he thought that she was blind again. In the end she gaves birth and could see her baby in the near. It was so emotional.
I understood the whole eye drop switching and actually still being able to see, I understood most of it but where do you see that she was ending it with him by singing the song? Was the song about him or the other guy? Why should he be the only one feeling guilty..she cheated and got preg by another man. And the song sounds like she's still in love, so was it about him or the other guy?
About him. She still loves him too but he did so wrong to her and the baby gaves her an another direction cause she made it alone not with him. After this I think she felt independent enough to start new. The other guy was nothing emotional. She cheated yes, but it was like karma because she always wanted to be pregnant too and she felt guilty when she couldnt. He didnt told her that after years and years trying he did do a checkup and he was the one who couldnt make children. Thats why he didnt say anything when she told that she was pregnant., like how come?
Yeah, I DON'T think so!! This woman can't act (felt SO sorry for Jason Clarke), she can't sing!! Even on this talk show, she's blending in to the background, just as she does in the movie.
A A Weird. It’s MY job to “protect” a Hollywood couple? From what? My job is to feed and protect my family, and contribute to society in a positive way. Who gives a frog’s fat ass about celebrities? They provide entertainment. So be entertained if you wish, and get back to real life
She realized her husband was the one who sabotaged her eyedrops so that her eye would be rejected. Towards the end, they grow apart, and she cheats on him - and becomes pregnant. The husband knows it's not his because we went and got tests done, so he was unable to father children. Anyway, at the end, they both have lied to each other and realize they have grown apart. In the end he kills himself and she lives on to have her baby. A soul ends, another begins.
@@amandan6912 he didnt kill himself, he got into an accident and died. so basically, all throughout her married life after her accident that caused her to be blind, she was very dependent on her husband. they'd go everywhere together and wtv. and then she got surgery to correct her eye and began building her independence like going to places on her own, going out more often, dyeing her hair, getting a dog and so forth. her husband seeing this feels like she doesnt need him anymore. so he tampers with her eye drops and causes her vision to be impaired again. so she went to the doc and test the eye drops. the doc revealed that the eye drops were different than the ones he had gave her. the husband also did things behind her back like stage a break in on their apartment so that he could take away the dog (so that she couldnt walk the dog, have that freedom, depend on him), he was also revealed to be sterile but did not tell her. so when she cheated on him, got pregnant and told him, he already knew it wasnt his. during the night of the talent show, he went and picked up the last few of their things and discovered old eye drop prescriptions that she hid from him. he discovers that all this while, she is actually able to see and faked her blindness. Later confirmed when she looks at him during the performance. he leaves and gets into a car crash with a truck. she gives birth to her baby.
Jessica S If I was your husband I would dress 👗 you like a French lady on Sunday’s, A hipster on Saturday’s! A Business woman on Friday’s and Monday - Thursday you would get your four days of choice wears! 🤔 That sounds fair! 😎
Agreed. I found out about the film recently when I happened to visit the Uni (was looking for potential places to study film, this particular one didn't end up on my shortlist I'm afraid) where the guy who co-wrote the script studied, and the folks there talked about that person (amongst other filmmakers, another who studied there was Neil Marshall who made Dog Soldiers and The Descent which are excellent films) for a little while during the presentation, and showed us the trailer. I was impressed, it all looked pretty decent and right up my alley... until I saw Marc Forster come up as director. _Oh no... the man who gave us Quantum of Solace..._ Still, the trailer interested me enough that I went home and watched it blind (pun intended) without looking at any reviews and wow! What a waste of potential, no wonder it crashed at the box office... It almost sent me to sleep, and it was about as deep as the shallow end of a kids swimming pool, despite Forster's most pretentious efforts to make it appear more thoughtful than it actually was, a trick he pulled at the expense of good pacing and tension. A shame too, because as you say, the concept is great!
How about working for Woody Allen, Blake? The guy who took photos of his stepdaughter and then married her when she was barely legal? The guy who assaulted his own daughter?. You are part of the problem and a huge hypocrite.
englandsensation well as far as I've heard there's no legitimate confirmation that woody Allen ever abused his step daughter and both she and her brother denied those claims(though I don't know nearly enough to really comment). And in saying that Blake is a part of the problem because she has worked with him are you saying the female victims of Harvey are a part of the problem because they were working with him? Are you implying that women just shouldn't work within the industry or should quit just because they are mistreated? I don't think your statement is helpful in any way. Maybe you didn't imply those things but calling someone out on nothing isn't helpful at all. Like they said in the interview, there are many cases similar to Harvey or (allegedly) woody, that needs to be dealt with but that has nothing to do with working and doing their jobs...
lizzy exactly, some people expect the work environment to be all puppies and rainbows when in reality there are a lot of people in higher positions who take advantage of their power and use it against the people who work for them. I've been in that position before, but all anyone told me was to not let it get to me. She kept hitting me while I was working, and it's not an excuse that she's a middle aged Korean woman. But I still needed to money really bad so I held all my anger in and kept on working.
Um is everyone you've ever worked for clean and innocent because in a world where evil exists you are bound to cross paths and work with messed up people knowingly or unknowingly. But to take it out on Blake is just bitter on your part. Hope you've gained some brain cells over the past 5 years.
Ugh! WORST acting for some-one who has been blind for the majority of their life! Jason Clarke SO amazing as always and though Danny Huston's only in the film for a short time, he still manages to out-act Lively. She states she sings... Um, no, she says words with a rhyme and let's face it, they can make ANYONE sound good these days. She should quit, raise the kiddies and leave the acting up to your husband.
A Cinephile wow and who are you to said those words to her BRUH ....Yeah you just envy her for sure but sorry you can't be her so why not just be happy for her or rather do not watch her videos as simple as that
The fact that in all her interviews she is always making people laugh says a lot about her!
The people in the background are all inlove with her. She is the best!
Blake is literal sunshine

The movie had potential. But its not good. Too Many holes and unanswered qouestions!
Also some parts Very predictable
Terribly written and directed movie. The concept is great though.

englandsensation now I'm not saying Woody Allen is completely innocent, but the whole "abuse" scandal was never proven as stated above^

the movie sucks...boring overboard

A Cinephile and as far as i knew she said she's really bad at singing so you saying that she said she can sing just proven your hatred towards her
A Cinephile i doubt if you can even act even half her acting bleh
