MATHILDA and Christian are a happy, young couple living in Gothenburg, Sweden. They’ve been together for eight years after meeting online and they instantly felt a special connection with each other after their very first dating app message. Mathilda is a transgender woman and, before meeting Christian, she had found the online dating world a bit of a minefield with men often disappearing or sending her nasty, abusive comments when she told them that she’s trans. However, Christian was supportive and accepting of Mathilda’s news that she was trans and their relationship grew and blossomed. The couple have experienced some comments online from trolls who say that Christian is ‘gay’; Christian explained how this makes no sense as Mathilda is a woman, saying to her: “It’s not true, I know that you’re a woman in every way possible.” These transphobic comments occur on a daily basis which they both find very draining. Truly met up with the couple at their home in Sweden to hear about the incredible news that they’re engaged and also hear how they’ve dealt with the awful online judgement they’ve had to face in their relationship.

Thank you for sharing it! I met my fiancee on a social media post about an actress and her trans kid, I have known I was male since I was a really young child, 3 or 4 years old, so I posted my story. People were giving me hate and this person started defending me, and then we started talking and figured out we have a ton of things in common, and I haven't stopped talking to her since that day! Been together over a year now. You two are a gorgeous couple! 💚

With due respect, Donovan, a trans woman isn't a pretender. She is a woman who was born with, shall we say, psychologically crippling physical defects. Her brain has always been that of a woman, even though her body didn't always agree. There is nothing feigned about gender dysphoria! Surgical and medical intervention was absolutely necessary for her to heal from the effects of testosterone. Regrettably, testosterone poisoning progresses the older one gets, making transition that much harder. I'm glad she was able to halt this trend and live true to her soul. IMHO, it isn't fair to stigmatize Christian for sticking by her. That would be like doing so if she had needed a heart transplant due to a congenital defect.

You have to look at the bigger picture, because if we let people harm their selves, eventually it will have impact on the community.
For example, we let people eat to much food and encourage them to eat junkfood by making junkfood more cheap than healthy food. The rate of obese people is skyrocketing at the moment and it will have impact on our community. So there are flaws in your belief system.

So is your answer just authoritarianism and regulate everyone’s diet? Actions have consequences, that should be the only thing at play. If people are ok with dying earlier than let them be obese. After their first heart attack or other health problem they will probably change their lives if they survive. That’s how it works.

Some cis women may not have a period due to factors like pregnancy, breastfeeding, menopause (Old age), hormonal imbalances, extreme weight loss, or certain medical conditions. Trans women can never go through the same thing as us, simply because they are biological men. No matter how much surgeries they go though, Because there is still proof that they are men period. They had to work to get what they wanted and we didn't.

This consciousness has it's own gender separate from the body's sex. We call this gender a person's "gender identity".
Usually gender identity and sex are the same thing; man = male, woman = female.
Trans people are mismatched. Our gender identity does not match our sex. In many this division causes EXTREME distress. The conflict between mind and body is intolerable and gets worse. It will literally drive a person insane.

Ok we can all agree she/he is not a biological women and that’s the fact. However if they’re happy and love each other why judge if they’re not harming nobody. I’m a father of two beautiful boys and is up to me to teach my sons that’s not normal for men to date other men/trans. I think a part of standard process once you transmiting to other gender should be advice/offer to freeze the eggs/sperm before surgeries. So couples could also have option to have biological children if this is important for them. They look very happy, a girl is very beautiful and I hope they will find a house of their dream, get married and have children.
They generally do tell you and give advice on freezing before surgeries and even starting HRT. then obviously one individual will make her/his own choice. Personally it didn't sit well with me, so I knew straight away that I didn't want to have my own child conceived that way. so I opted out.
