Do you have Gimbal Questions for Future Videos?
I’m so glad I’ve found your channel! I always learn something new from your videos.
Same ! Glad it’s helpful :)
Taylor your work is so impressive ,this is more than a WIN.I LOVE YOUU AND THANK YOUUUUUUU
Hope it helps you! Thanks
Met ya about 5 years ago here at Home in Houston. Been following ya on CZcams, and have been really blessed with your last upload about using my new iPhone 12 to shoot in door Video Walk-Though to occasionally replace my Ronin S. Cheers, Stac. Southern Charm Photography
Hey!! How are things going ?
Perfect! This is will solve a lot of my current frustration with the gimbal.
Awesome! What kind of work do you do?
Awesome video! Really helpful. Thanks a lot.
Nice! We have ours setup similarly. My Mode 1 is setup where tilt is disabled so only left and right is enabled and I’m really liking that for wide main shots to keep verticals level, then for details like your M2. Cool vid! Get outside more
You don’t use your joystick much?
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo actually ya, I have it slow like you. I’ll use it to look left or right more accurately than me turning the gimbal, & for up and down reveals!
Oh nice! I just use it for up+down combos
thanks for all your helpful videos im a festival/dj videographer but iv been looking to make money filming other stuff, weddings dont really interest me but real estate does . looking to start filming for agents real soon and all your videos have taught me alot thank you again
So awesome! Thanks for sharing & hanging out ✌️ Haven’t been to a festival in so long
Thanks for this. I just shot my first house (video) and my gimbal was driving me nuts. I ended up fiddling with settings to get them usable in the middle of the shoot.-that roll axis off is a good call!
Been there !! Haha thanks for watching ✌️
Love your videos bro
Thanks!! I appreciate the comment
Thank you so much for you tips! This helps tremendously! Question, I too have a 16-35mm f2.8 but I find it to be heavy at times for full days of gimbal work, do you think a prime lens for real estate wide pan shots and push ins would be a good idea? If so, what focal length would you recommend in general for interior wide pan and push ins? Some people are saying something like 12mm is too wide giving you that motion sickness effect, but then I've seen some amazing footage shot with 12mm and 14mm focal lengths. Any thoughts as to what is your most preferred focal length for these interior movements. I was thinking that having a prime fast lens could do well in low light interiors and the form factors make them lighter and smaller. Your tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Hey! For sure, it can get super heavy 😓 I would definitely recommend renting the ones you're looking at to see what you think and what works best for what you're going for. I think 12 or 14 would be a lot of fun to have! With the 12 , you would also open up the option to use 4k with a crop and still have pretty close to 16mm shots too! Might be nice. But its mostly a personal choice what you like and what is giving you the look you're going for. As long as it's not distorted it should be useful !
This is a nice set up outside. I like.
Thanks! It was nice to change it up 😁 ☀️
Great as usual!! Do you have any recommendations for handles or other attachments?
Thanks!! My adapter is from polar pro and it has a arm thing that quick connects for monitor setups (only option when I got it but it’s a bit over priced) that I like but I hardly use it. Smallrig has come out with a lot of cool handy ones recently that look better + cheaper !
Do you ever use a monitor? I just got my fist gimbal and it seems like a must have right off the bat since the camera screen is usually so far away
Yeah! It depends on the type of shoot. Love using a monitor when it makes sense & attention to detail is more necessary. Also some cameras have better / worse screens (or different types of flip screens) I used to use one all the time with my Sony or if I’m using cinema cameras. But the EOS R screen is pretty bright / accurate so I don’t typically use it with that camera.
Heyy. Great video. How do u get rid of the distortion from the wide lens ?
Mine doesn't really have any so I dont do anything. But for ones that do - most editing programs have an effect or lens correction option where you can manually dial it in to fix it. I have to do that for my drone footage sometimes and it works pretty well. Alternatively if its too bad - You can always zoom in a couple mm and it usually makes a big difference with distortion and vignetting! Hope that helps
1:48 is my life. 😂
You were stressing me out leaning on that case and the Ronin is just bobbing away like it's in a hurricane... LOL
Hahaha sorry 🤣
Nice Video my friend...I'm new to Real Estate Video shoots..Bought Sony ZV-E10 and mounted Sony 11mm f1.8 Lens...Kindly suggest some best option ND or Polarizes if required...
VNd from Tiffen and PolarPro are great ! CPL is great for certain things but not totally necessary when starting out.
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo …Thanks my friend but either not available or higher cost…Any best options in Budget? Kindly suggest…
I suggest you to make a video that how we shot real estate vertical video whole house in one shot
Hey! Great idea. I made one similar here but with a phone if you want to check it out -
czcams.com/video/DFGcGyJIwfA/video.html
Is that a Rhonin SC.? Do you use the Velcro all the time to store it? Mine didn’t come with Velcro.
It’s the older Ronin S. No locking axises so Velcro is what they sent them with 😆 Always kind of funny but it works
Please suggest a bought and easy to mount best gimbal for real estate videography with Sony ZV-E10
Hey!! The Smaller Ronin SC for sure, check the links in the video for more suggestions :) How are you liking that camera ? Seems so cool!
Hi Taylor, thanks for this. But how actually do you turn off the roll axis? There's nothing I can find anywhere that tells me. Not even in a manual
Hey! It's just part of the preset function. I think I said it the wrong way on this video. Hope that helps!
I also use the 16-35mm for interiors, but when I swap with the 50mm lens, I just find it sooo hard doing the gimbal balance all over again. Do you have any tips or tricks for this swap? Marking the gimbal with cheat lines or something so u know already where it needs to be for the right lenses?
You could do that if it works for you! Also just making sure to not go back and forth saves a lot of time so do all the wide shots / then do all the details. I think the more you do it the faster you'll get!
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo Thx :D
Hi Taylor. I was looking at you Real Estate Photography Course. When I click on Start Today, I get the error message, Opps, An Error occurred. Is there a new link for the course? Is it still active?
Hey!! Thanks so much, I wonder if it's a browser issue or something like that. Seems like everything's working on my end on Safari and Chrome. Here's the link, though :) sso.teachable.com/secure/1236399/checkout/3868026/real-estate-photography-foundations
Concise, informative and I'm still using & loving the DJI Ronin-S (price point well after intro was a bargain & weight capacity a must for my Nikon D780). The Ronin-S works well for my FF DSLR body + big lenses as well as my mirrorless). We use it a ton for real estate listings and weddings & it keeps on ticking. Really appreciate your CZcams channel Taylor, as it has been instrumental in the increased quality of our mortgage company and real estate brokerage's online presentations. (Check's in the mail 😉)
Thanks for sharing ! That’s so awesome to hear 👏👏👏 Excited for y’all
Ronin S is a beast. Mine is a couple of years old. Works as good today as the day I bought it.
@@PureBloodWNC same!
@@PureBloodWNC Y'all make me feel sad as I am just getting into this video thing and RE Media and would have loved to own the S but it's still expensive. Just ordered the rs3 ( 6 lb payload ).. can't afford the pro version ( 10 lb limit ).. Hoping it will be able to support my d850 and 16-35f4 ( as stated on dji's compatility page )
Nice !! That should be a good one. Let me know how it goes 👌
What do u mean by “still no roll axis activated” im having trouble using my gimbal, i follow all ur setting.
Hey! So there are 3 axis's on gimbals. Tilt (up+down rotation), Pan (Left + Right Rotation) and Roll (Rolling Left Or Right) - I didnt word it great in the video but if you do the main settings I had the mode will disable the roll axis which will keep your shot level all the time. What kind of issues are you having? Hope that helps!
hi I am a new user do we put lens on manual mode or auto I have a 5dmark3 and djirs2 pro combo my mark3 doesn't have great auto focus feature but rs2 front wheel helps me in focus but I have to keep hunting scrolling for precise focus
Hey! Always best to work with your camera's abilities like you're saying. Probably going to be best to use AF in brighter scenarios where it works well and if you notice it struggling flip to MF to make sure it all comes out good. If you set the focus somewhere mid-room it usually turns out looking good as the camera moves on wide shots even though logically that seems weird :)
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo Thank you i will practise it from today i have upcoming real estate photo and video shoot. It will be my first video experience. I will follow all your helpful tips thank you so much keep coming back

@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo thank you so much i got the opportunity to photograph 5 realestate club society with the same company and a hotel by Hyatt regency in india i am very excited hope everything goes smooth 😊😊 and they also asked me to come on board as inhouse photographer for all the realestate
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo i have a question i have never done exposure bracketting in a serious manner but is it really very important or i can take just 1 photo i do have polariser and vnd filter. Another question is polariser fine or should i use vnd filter for realestate photo.
Would a a7 III work well for real estate video?
Yeah! It’s great for a hybrid, i used to have one. The a7siii is best for video and a7iv is better for a hybrid now though (If you’re looking into buying gear)
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo thanks for responding. I’m just getting into real estate video and so far i have my eye on the a7III
Como desativo o roll?!?
