People want their headlights brighter, but b!+ch about everyone else’s headlights blinding them. Today’s world I guess. Keep doing what you do guys. Enjoy the channel!
You got that right
These will not blind you on low beam bc they have a cutoff shield inside the housing that keeps light from shining about that point
Trucks that don’t have a projector beam housing like my current ‘19 international is where you run into problems with aftermarket LED or HID bulbs blinding you
I'd have to agree. Ass-holes that change these lights don't care about the other guy. Should be illegal to make the low beams brighter. Really love it when some F-ing jerk blinds me from either direction.
A lot of vehicles today spray upwards like they weren't tested at all in the factory
Just installed mine, and I had all 4 bulbs connected backwards 😂 At least im consistent! Works great now that they're connected properly.
This is probably the first video of anyone doing anything with the factory headlights of this nature so right on guys much appreciated!! I Put LED bulbs “not cheap led bulbs” into my 389 headlights and they weren’t that much brighter than the halogen’s. With that being said there’s quite a few write ups on how projector housings aren’t meant for LED bulbs but for HID’s. I since put an HID kit on my 389 and holy cow it’s night and day difference from LED. Just my 2 cents.
What HID kit did you use?
Did the HID throw a error code on the dash?
@@hunterlyons6661I was wondering too
The difference is amazing. I would love to have that for my personal pickup. Great video. Thanks.
What a difference those lights make. Great video of a big safety factor. Thanks for the video guys, now don't stay up too late working on these toy trucks.
What a Awesome Video those lights are really amazing compared to the stock lights it's a NO brainer what needs to go into your Truck...
I love them been running them for almost 4 months
I'm picking up a 2017 glider 389 with a 6nz this Friday & I already ordered a pair!
JW Speaker 9600 are way cooler and better…
What a big difference it makes. Super cool. Great job guys
I will definitely try these out! Compared to the price of other options this is worth it.
I just ordered a set from you. I am looking forward to the difference.
Nice upgrade for the guys in the lower 48, but here up north in canada those LED bulb in factory housing can't work in winter. The lack of heat in snowstorm make the headlight full of snow and reduce visibility. The only way to have LED bulb, is with heated lens or LED generate enough heat to keep lens "dry".
Not if you go with Morimoto bulbs. The fan forces the heat forward towards the house to melt snow and ice.
@@barbiesawada245 interesting, I'll take a look a those bulb in a near futur! 👌
If you mount high beam lights on the top of the roof you get light that light up over hill tops and on top of roads with high fences on the side and similar. Her in Norway all big rigs that run on the country roads have roof mounted high beam lights. Having powerful high beam lights mounted high make a huge difference.
Good job on the show & tell guys . FireWire should " better your discount" for the publicity . I'd rate the head light upgrade WAY up the chart . Right under change'n out the air operatored windshield wipers on a 359 with 12 volt electric 1's 👍👍
Great guys! Met them at 75 truck show.
Impressive lights
The difference is insane!!! I want a set
H11 low beam
9005 high beam
Not F11
No big deal, I did see they are correct on your website
That black effect Peterbilt is absolutely beautiful
Interesting cab light configuration
Light are hot and great job guy's..🔥🔥
Thanks guys for the awesome video big difference thanks again
Definitely be ordering those
You guys are awesome.
I have a 2019 567 , will this LED kit work in my truck ???
I have some good ones of a different brand but I will be ordering those! They are sick!
I bought the kit and can't get the 9005 to mount correctly. The tabs on the bulb housing are too small or something. Any idea on how to make them fit?
Yeah, they don't tell you that part. They sure don't snap in like the factory bulbs. The heat sink is much larger, and it comes in contact with the tabs when installing. I had to bend the tabs flatter to get mine in. PIA
I will be ordering these bulbs from you and trying them out on my new 389
So do I need the resistor ? I have a 2020 389
Those lights are bright
Why does the FireWire website only offer headlight upgrades for pickup trucks. It makes me question whether they will stand up to the punishment that even a Peterbilt 389 with air ride on all three axles.
How well do they do with snow and ice? I’ve heard horror stories about drivers replacing halogen bulbs with LEDs and the front headlamp lenses would cake up with snow and ice because there wasn’t enough heat built up to melt the ice. They went back to halogen bulbs in the winter and LEDs in the spring and summer months.
I can tell you I regret going all LED on my 389. Excellent light in spring, summer and fall, damn near dark during snow storms. I typically have to stop every 50 miles at night and clear the snow. I am upgrading to heated housings this winter.
Morimoto makes a excellent LED bulb where the fan blows forward to melt ice and snow. These are the Morimoto 2 Stroke 3.0. Headlight Revolution has a video out on these bulbs , perfect for snowy winter's.
Yes you need really powerful LED lights like 50w ++ to be sure they melt ice and snow. My new huge 9" diameter high beam LED lights for my van mounted on the roof is rated at 170w per light.
Wow!
Big difference! You guys rock. Thanks for sharing!!
Edit: do you have a link to those lights? Thanks
You can purchase on our site: www.SemiCasualShow.com
I’ve been wanting to buy some merch from your website but you still don’t ship to Canada
What do I do when I have a low beam bulb not working? Bought your Fire Wire lights for my 389 12/22
For some reason these FireWire lights aren’t brighter than the stock halogen lights on my ram truck, they’re whiter just not really brighter. Is there a specific model other then socket size that I messed up on?
Your ram uses reflector housings, peterbilt uses projector housing. Big difference
+1 to what Roadhammer said, check into Sylvania bulbs. I went with those on my '16 Tundra, HUGE difference in brightness and beam throw.
Is there a video showing ur bumper lights you have installed? I tried searching but couldn’t find it.
Retina burners!!!
Is the $220 for a set for both headlights or just for one headlight? Like do I need to buy 2 sets of led lights
I’m mean ajust them so there not blinding?
So as a company guy with factory headlights, which I think suck, I’ve looked into these. But it’s going too be hard convincing my wife too spend that amount. Is there any kind of guarantee or warranty? I know the headlights we use now I seem too replace them about every 1.5 months.
I ordered some over a week ago and don’t have an email, phone number or anything to get ahold of someone to see when they’ll ship. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Future plans for a 579 light upgrade kit?
Will this light fit a 2014 peterbilt 388?
Hey guys it’s been 2 years. Do you still recommend these lights?
Awesome video and do y’all know if FireWire makes headlight bulbs for a 2016 Silverado?
Pretty sure they do
I feel sorry for car or truck that will be coming the opposite direction 😅...
I would like to buy a 389 can't afford one
Did you align them?
Would they fit a 2015 367 with the 389 style lights because even with super white Sylvania bulbs you can't see a thing specially when you are looking for a drilling rig in the middle of the night.
Yes... Those are 389 lights on the 367
Do you need to add in a resistor for these
Do they make cameras for the hood to replace the hood mirrors?
Haven’t seen anything like that
Yeah big difference bro
Lol they're a little late to the party I did this to my 389 like 2 years ago super easy just plug and play also I'm pretty sure the high beams are h-11 not f
On the black 389 the extra grill bars are they just stock bars from peterbilt or is it a kit?
You have to buy the extra grill bars from peterbilt. Truck comes stock with 4 or 5
Cool🤔
Hows it going
How do they compare to Trux
As long as the driver can see who cares about the truck you are coming up on in the hammer lane 😎
Not a fan of those kind of lights but I like y’all’s show😎
What’s the best product to clean the headlight glass lens
Meguires Plastix
Hello, looking to get some work done on my 389. May i please get a number where I can reach out to you guys? Thanks. Love the work you guys do.
Put them in my 567 what a difference.
Only problem with going from halogens to LED’s is they don’t put out the heat the halogens do and ice over quickly
What about for 2023 579
I just ordered them 5 minutes ago. And I’m tired of waiting.
Ordered my lights Friday and got them Monday. U guys don’t work weekends? Huh?
Any truth to the rumor that led headlights interfere with your cb radio?
If you run a big radio, it should be wired directly to the batteries not the factory crap wiring. Headlights don't interfere but wipers absolutely can
10-4
What you should actually do is swap the factory projector for a Morimoto MLED 2.0
Agreed, LED in the factory halogen projector is trash. My 389 came with them and I can't wait to throw them in the trash. I can't see shit with the lows and people are constantly flashing me. LED in the highs are ok.
I'm doing a Bi-LED/Laser retrofit when I get a spare set of headlights.
@@ianm432 I believe that it's just 4 screws for the projector, just put some MLED 2.0 they're basically plug and play. (To be confirmed of course). Also, don't forget to aim them correctly, that's the most important part ;)
What exactly did you order. I wanna do the same

Hey what’s up bros how y’all doing
Cries in stock 379 halogens
Purchased LED lights form this guys, I was supposed to come with 1 year warranty. They burned out after 4 mo, and they are not answering to emails in order to send me an replacement.
have we all forgotten about proper headlight aiming???? that's all folks
No shit but halogen is antiquated crap. You've got 40 tons traveling down the road, covering the length of a football field in a matter of seconds, you'd think your silly ass would want to see further. You can aim your halogen bulbs anywhere you want, it doesn't make them brighter but you know more than all the automotive engineers who are designing every new car with LEDs.
Turn off all those lights! I'm trying to get some sleep! 😴
Wow they are nice but I see people being blinded by light 😆🖕👍🇺🇸💥✌️
Did y’all guys know some one sent me a comment on the 379 videos it said congrats I was chosen to win a prize and to text to claim and left a phone number I texted the number but haven’t heard anything just asking is that you guys or some else just mess with people please comment back and let me know I do buy items from the store do t k ow if someone was trying to get my info using your semi logo
Unfortunately that sounds like a spam bot. We do not contact people for winning via comment section on the videos.
@@SEMICasualShow I didn’t think it was y’all guys I just wanted to make sure thanks for responding to me on that matter and keep the videos coming brother
200K truck and Peterbilt can’t even put in factory HID bulbs and projectors
389th like😮😅
Yea and blind the crap out of on coming traffic and people in front of you, let the 1970 truck stay with the 1970 lights.
3 monts and fails
They work great but the problem is they blind everyone else.
The most annoying thing drive around at night is all the rookies with these blinding the real pros out here.
Oh yeah, because company rookies are buying 300 dollar lights for their swift freightliner, smh
@@TheRoadhammer379 In my opinion anyone using these headlights or fog lights is a rookie. Even the guys that have been on the roads for years
Well, you know what they say about opinions.
Truck lights are bright enough. There blinding me now every time I meet a truck. If you are smart enough to aim your lights you won't need that bull crap. Iam a retire truck driver of 28 years. Not even one accident.
Good for you, I'm 26 yrs out here and halogen is proven antiquated crap.
Will these work on a 2015 389 without flickering?
