Hello legends and welcome back to another episode! Finally we can get back out and make some content now the the covid 19 restrictions are being lifted slowly.
In this episode Lucas and I head down the coast to a estuary we have never fished before to try out someplace new.
End up catching a couple small fish and a stingray, lucas caught his first rock and log fish so all up we had fun and some good laughs too along the way...

Finally a video I missed your channel so much
Glad your still around brother! It's like catching up with old friends. Til next time 🤙
Have seen a few crocodiles at that first spot, decent sized fella too, know that area very well :)
Yes they are there alright, we passed over a 3 metre one when we crossed the bridge on the highway... Big fella for sure, my eyes are always peeled. Just another risk fishing landbased I guess
We hope you are having a WONDERFUL time here in Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef Region😍 Check out our channel to find out more about our locally owned and operated wildlife parks 🐨🦘
Hey, i went Sooty fishing behind Silkwood State School near Innisfail, i threw in prawns right in front of Sooty and they dont bite, what bait is best?
Thats weird, sure they weren't boney bream? Cheddar cheese is the best bait hands down for sooty grunter, they go crazy for it.... Cut into small cubesand cover the tip of the hook. Only lasts a bite or two but 90% of the time one bite is all you need 🤙
@@twistednrg6293 Cool, thanks so much for the advice, will try it. Cheers mate. Love your vids too, watching "keen" anglers is awesome!! Thumbs up.

@@vernonfisher9157 ok ok the first spot is much closer to Port then Cairns and the other is close to Cairns/Smithfield. Is that better haha, thanks for watching bud 👍

First comment
We’re is this
Between Port Douglas n Cairns, its a lil side road 👍
Somewhere not worth trying unless you like to catch sting rays LOL
@@nathanm4277 never know
Nathan M stingrays go hard on light setups. Fought one on a 2-5kg jarvis walker for like half an hour lol
@@kye5885 LOL, they're only fun if you know it's a stingray and even then you want them off so you can cast again for something decent. Every other time you have a 'good fish' on, you're hoping it's not a dang stingray. How many times have our heart has sunk fighting a 'good fish' only to find its only a stingray? Many I suspect
Leave the rays alone man catch some proper fish
What's wrong with catching rays? They are great fun like many other underrated fish species... should I leave sharks alone too?I'm no sports fishermen and definitely not a pro, I catch what I can in the places I have access to.
Yeah that's cool but why target them I don't mind you catching them but you're letting them swallow the hook and alsorts of spastic shit
