To add to that…….and when he doesn’t win or do well he says “I” messed up. He doesn’t try and pass blame.
I was at the Mt washington hill climb, right at the stage after the trophy presentation. First thing Travis did was ask "where my team?"

Man Travis’s face after the race really says it all, that man is genuinely upset that he took away Scott’s opportunity to hold the trophy over his head. I mean my god that level of humility is so admirable, what a competitor and what a man
It may sound weird, but if I were in Scott's shoes, after seeing how Travis reacted to what went down..... That would prove to me that this is the guy I want as my teammate. Racing happens. Travis proved that he takes teamwork super seriously. Hes never an every man for himself kind of racer.
Yeah, I had to pause playback and find the original broadcast to watch turn 1 a few dozen times just to make sense of Scott's reaction. I assume he knew there had to be another car between him and Travis for him to win the championship, so was he waiting for a penalty? If there was one, all teams involved would have known before the race was over. We also have to consider that Scott intentionally took turn 1 slow and wide not just to force Timmy wide, but to mix things up behind him and possibly, and subtly, give one of the Hansens a chance to get between he and Travis. However, seeing Travis win the series he created himself would surly turn many competitors sour. We all know that kid in the playground who makes up games he knows no one else but him can win.
@@chrishuyler3580 did you watch this entire video both Travis and Scott talked about Scott pushing hanson wide at the start because that was the team game go back and rewatch the video
@@GARBO96 Yes, I know that was team strategy, but I'm just playing devil's advocate here. It's really hard to predict what will happen when driver's don't just stick to the racing line and drive flat out. It puts them in places on the track that drivers behind cannot predict. Even the approach to this turn is weird in that you'd think two cars would just stay on the pavement, but there is dirt on the inside that is fair game, so there's a lot of different line choices. Overall, I agree that it's just a "racing incident" and thankfully no cars were taken out of the race from the impact and Scott had the rest of the race to play catch-up and couldn't get ahead of Timmy.
This show is in part of the reason I am a Subaru owner, I've been watching for years. And I'm glad to be apart of this wonderful community

Travis is such an amazing person. To put aside his victory to make sure Scott got the recognition he deserved and even apologizing for it, even when mostly out of his control. These guys make this amazing motorsport even better. Amazing job Subaru team im so happy for everyone!
That's what a lot of us love about him.
I dont think if Travis and Scott's roles were reversed in this situation that Scott would have that much sympathy for Travis.. Pastrana will forever be the most humble greatest all-round athlete to ever walk this earth.. hands down

I know Scott's pissed but I'm just happy to see him in a car again and extremely competitive. You got 4 already bud, give it a little time. Number 5 is around the next corner. Can't wait to see what next season brings!

@@JVittorio if he jumps ship to another team he'll be losing respect from a lot of people. He said he joined Subaru for a challenge. Quitting says it was too hard for him so he went championship chasing somewhere else. I know if he quits Subaru I'll be done supporting him. And I don't even like Subaru cars lol.

@@michaelallen2501 I doubt he's going anywhere. What other team is there at his level? One he calms down and reviews the situation he'll know that there was nothing travis could do. It was just an unfortunate racing incident.
@@peejay1981 The Hansen's played their cards well. Front row knew he was going to get ran wide by Scott. He's done it all weekend (as he should, best strategy for inside position). Second row Hansen knew he had to squeeze Travis tight and hope for a mistake. Otherwise the Hansen's leave turn 1 in 3rd and 4th. Their plan worked.
By a wide margin, Launch Control is the best docu-series available on any platform ! Every aspect is top notch, love it love it love it. Congrats on an amazing year Subaru. Please help get us a rally event in Idaho in the near future ?
Love this series. My WRX turns 20 this year, and it's still a joy to get in and go.
Hated to see the title decided like that, but Travis wasn't at fault. It's clear that was Scott's in the moment reaction, and he's rightly upset having done what he needed to do, but it was a miracle that Travis got his car sideways at all or it would have taken both of them out.
Also, I feel like Scott, once he has some separation from that race will reflect on just how amazing his comeback was. He was broken, done, no ride, wasn't even sure he'd ever race again. He came back, won races and tied on points for a championship. That's flat out amazing, and if there is anyone that understands what that's like, it's his teammate.
As for Travis, as someone that's watched him since he was a teenager that crashed and broke basically everything, only to heal and go on to define Action Sports from nothing to where it is now - seeing him win Championships in Rally - where you knew he could if he managed to restrain himself just enough - to RallyCross, something he helped define and showcase, it was a joy to watch. The maturity, generosity and more than ever humility he's displayed on top of the determination and focus towards his racecraft are inspiring.
Damn I wish I could of seen Colin McRae to savage these vehicles been a fan of Subaru since I was 3yrs old. I’ll always remember seeing the L555 BAT Subaru at wales back in the naughties. Not finished the video yet. Let’s go Subaru!!

I've followed these guys for a long time now... ever since I saw that 199 car hanging from the ceiling for the first time in Spare Time next to the OG VT Sportscar site. Amazing to see these guys winning titles now. Thank you for making this show for us to enjoy, and for free no less! We appreciate you all.

What an amazing finale! We could see the disappointment in Travis’s face with that accidental contact. He’s a true competitor and a true icon of the sport of rally racing. Can’t help but feel bad for Scott Speed but they know all too well that this happens all the time in rally racing… glad they were able to bounce back an get the championship for team Subaru! Great show !

I’ve always been a huge Subaru fan. From way back in 1993 when I first found out about Rallying. I owned Subaru’s for 19 consecutive years due to this and collected memorabilia and models of the cars.
My passion was McRae and Prodrive and was disappointed when that era ended.
But….. then I found Higgins and Drew and Vermont sport cars and the spark was ignited again. I’ve watched you guys for years in Launch Control as I stay in the UK, and every episode brings excitement, passion and emotion like it did for me all those years ago. Now with the Team you guys have now with Travis, Speed and the likes you guys are unstoppable.
Thanks guys, you guys have came and Conquered and stamped your mark once again with Subaru, Vermont Sports Cars and all the team. MASSIVE RESPECT 👏👏👏

Since they didnt kill the WRX, they will never stop racing them. Since the wrx is the "basis" of their ralley car and the STI as a "road version" of their ralley car......it isnt stopping.

This is such a good series, the production value, feel and storyline all are done so well. I’ve been watching for a few years now and I have to say it’s easily one of my favorite series on CZcams. Great job
Travis winning was fitting, and yea not in the fashion that he would've wanted, but he's really become the face of modern Subaru rally racing (used to be Higgins honestly). But Travis stepped up, but Scott is so good him coming off a potentially life altering injury and ending right back on a podium is remarkable.
Really enjoyed this with the NitroRX coverage. Such a great end to an amazing inaugural NRX season. Loved going to the events in person and seeing the cars and Subaru exhibits in person.
I feel for Scott. But happy for Travis. Either way they both are champions. Only one win deciding it, shows they both have the same skill. Congratulations Travis, Scott and all the team in the garage. Great work. And congratulations to Subaru

@@PandaP- Taking it a step further; When cars are prepared for racing, At least at VSC, they forego the stock powerplant. So can we really call them WRX or STI ?? 😂
Since they've used the JDM 2.0 Rather than the classic EJ257.
Some team raced Honda civics... which are front wheel drive with 130hp... that's what racing is. taking something and building it up. I love how close Subaru's cars are to what you can buy, far closer than any Honda civic, ford Fiesta. Its kind of awesome.
@@Kiss__Kiss Those Subaru's are way closer to what the factory puts out than what any other team is running. That is why I'm a Subaru fan and it's why I ought a Subaru. That and Lance Smith is a great leader, and Travis and Scott are my favorite drivers. I also love Andrew Coley and Dominik Wilde. In my opinion Andrew Coley is the cream of the sports announcing crop.
I've only ever watched the series for the story it tells. An amazing story with an amazing cast! The win is just the cherry on top! Keep pushing!

The Nitro Rally season just ended 4 months ago. They have to create a storyboard, edit, interview, etc. for months to create these for free for their fans. You cannot create a narrative if you don’t know the ending.

Awesome. Travis Pastrana 199 . I seen Travis some 12 years back ... a Summer when it was like 120° for days in a row just So Hot. Travis was driving through town for The Rally Race, part of the course was regular road to get back to the Off Road part if the Course.. He had to stop at a red light going through our town here in Western Maine, I told people I was gonna see him.. and my son and I went to the store and sure enough... Travis Pastrana pulled up to the Red light.. I Yelled Out.. Pastrana...!!! He Beeped a cpl times, waved and drove off. It was seconds and he was about 25 feet away but it was fkn cool that he took a moment... To Say "hi".. That to me.. Is what its about. And the Rally Race was Awesome Too. After watching this.. Travis bid, it Wasn't Your fault, your car got tire locked in with that other car. You did steal it or cheat or anything like that. You Won fair. I hope that Scott Speed understands it after seeing what happened after the race. Hes a gd driver. But he didn't Win it bud.

To... YOu. Subaru was the second thing I wanted after I lost my virginity, both unforgettable both exceeded expectaion. Young I wanted freedom, Subaru gave me my first feedom. I wanted to be looked at, admired, Subaru gave me that. One thing I REALLY can be thankful for, SUBARU SAVED MY LIFE. 3 Rollover crash rallying in the Yukon Territories in Canada. Any other car I feel I would be dead. TY not only being my dream girl your also my saving angel. Truly ty.
