You just can't underestimate the power and lasting trauma of being bullied or abused as a child.

Deeply thankful. I feel I've just met my twin sister. I turned 51 this week, and I've lived/suffered with anxiety from the age of 8 or 9 years old. I feel it is all I am. I just exist. After years of treatment, medications, specialists, inpatient, outpatient treatment, failed suicide attempts, I truly feel people and specialists still don't know me. It is exhaustive isolation and tortured existence been diagnosed with major depressive disorder and PTSD.
Thank you for sharing your journey, both joyous and yet agonising to watch. I wish you the deepest respect and strength moving forward and 'holding the monster bay' 👍🇦🇺❤️😪

Thank you for being so open and honest. Serious issues in my family and the death of my father at 15 and my mother by 23 as an only child. I understand pushing it down to keep it at bay. I do the same. I turn to my God. I can appreciate multiple things. I also have major depressive disorder which makes it worse and I can fake it around others because I love serving. For me, I want to shine the light of Jesus to everyone when I do go out. I’m becoming a Maryland State Certified Peer Support Recovery Specialist. I chose medication and it does help. You have my sincere respect and empathy.
    Sincerely,
    Caroline Harrison

    Outstanding and very brave!
But let me express my disappointment over my constant trials of asking help from the age of 15!!!! from my parents (who were medical doctors) then from different psychologists and the indifference I met all through those years.
There were no person really willing to help, understand, take responsibility of suggesting useless or harmful things.
I slowly got better but i couldnt lead a life I wanted, i had no kind spouse helping me, i had no friends or lovers who i could be honest about it because noone ever cared and took me seriously when sometimes i wanted to talk openly abt issues.
So yes, u re awesome and the documentary is a great help but i cannot help but feel jealous for the fact that you actually had some good people around you who cared and wanted to help or just accepted your mental state.
I was struggling all alone, i really asked for help and would have done everything to get better, i wanted to be confronted by difficult issues since i was a teenager…. And still… what i got as help was a huge portion of bad advice, indifference .. and you kind of forget to seak for another therapist after the 5th one thinking there is no use asking them any more.
I feel there is a lot of injustice in ones fate where they live, how developed certain fields of sciences there and how supporting a culture is in general.
    I always felt alone.
And it will be like this forever now.
There is a certain point when u feel so disappointed about what have not happened, how much time was wasted and how time is now against a woman that u give up.
The only feeking i feel is the frustration, anger on why noone helped even a little when i was younger and had some chances of a relatively ok life.

There are loads of people abused and abandoned who have no one many of whom are in the prison system
My mother until her death a few years ago tortured me, turned all four of my children against me who all have children, have not heard from them for 15 years ( I’ve sent gifts, letters, called them with no response)
I’m an ethical vegan and animal activist and teach yoga daily because I was abused like animals are
I can’t think of one good thing to say about humans except those who are saving the animals and earth, who live woke.

An addiction to a negative thought pattern. One thing that helps a lot is Ashwaghanda. Another thing is anytime a bad thought of any type pops in your head, imagine yourself throwing it out. Imagine your brain/ thought life like a garden and you are taking the bad and throwing it out, leaving your brain a beautiful garden.

Ha ha the psychologist says the same thing that i said to myself during the stress that caused symptoms similar to a person haveing a panic attack.... Well it means that everyone who at times has the condition may control it through the change of thinking about the fear. That is amazing!

  • @Durczykiewicz
    @Durczykiewicz Před 8 měsíci

If it's a question of chemical balance in the brain the cure would be relatively easy to find. I remember being in a similar condition for some time, yet it certainly wasn't as extreme as in this beautiful woman's case. I conquered this by myself, i believe that God led me to the healing. But yes, it is, it may be an overwhelming problem.... In my understanding FEAR is the core, the root of the problem. If we minimize the power of the fear we will feel much better, well, at least i felt better.... A Very Interesting Film! Thank you for shaing it with the world, with me! (a viewer from Poland)

One thing very sad unless the English language is difficult , the young lady is Bangladeshi British rather than British Bangladeshi. Accept you are British not a foreigner. I realize it works both ways and both are to blame, as in racist UK people play a similar role.
