Stunning 😭 the lantanas at the end got me... We lost a baby in 2022 and burried the ashes in a pot where we planted yellow lantanas that now bloom on my front porch. Thank you, Jesus for life and nature.

This brought me to tears. Four years ago, when Covid was just beginning, I sensed that I was entering a season of “hidden gardening,” where the growth was all underground and I had to trust that eventually I would see it. My oldest son was beginning to show strong signs of ADHD, but we didn’t have the diagnosis yet. Every day of parenting was an act of faith, because there was no outward fruit. I was exhausted, sowing in tears. At the same time, I planted a small raised bed in the backyard.
Today, my garden is flourishing, both literally and metaphorically because of the cultivation four years ago.
it truly is an act of resistance to plant things in faith.❤

Tears strolling down my cheeks as this is exactly how I feel about gardening. Thanking God all summer long for his help with providing such bounty for my family and giving me the strength and wisdom to grow his amazing creations.
