Just saying... the cakes for the prize tasks mostly had green buttercream as their filling. This might be speculation, but I think she might have been the one fooling the cake artists.

@@alyl.9430 The only problem is the host and weird dramatic timing make the show impossible to watch.
The reason her work is so good is because it's her life's work. A lot of hard work has gone into learning this art. And of course she is talented. It teaches us that in order to be good at something, it takes a lot of hard work and time. No shortcuts.
I’ve always had a passion for art and my mom wouldn’t let me go to art school so I went to culinary school and learned how to bake and fell in love with sculpting cakes and you’ve honestly been such an inspiration to me!!! I still have A LOT to learn and not quite at hyper realism just yet but it’s one of my dream goals 🥰
Ah! Sounds like your mom and my mom could’ve been sisters! I had quite the many arguments with her about my wanting to major in art in college, where she kept trying to discourage me/talk me out of it with the ol’ “art won’t put bread on the table.”
She had no idea just how many fields of work there are as options with an art major, as all she kept imagining was me trying to shuck oil paintings for a living lol. So I put myself through college and earned a bachelors of science degree in art from an excellent university (that was super hard to get even accepted into), with the concentration being graphic design...
I got my dream job with great pay and benefits right out of college, working full time in the music industry for an extremely well known global record label, doing web design for their bands/artists (and some photography too). Do you know how flabbergasting it was how my mom would brag to everyone she knew about my new career after I landed the job at the label, when she never supported me going to school for art from the very beginning?
I’m glad that you were able to find a career that used your talent and didn’t waste it! You should never have let your mother get in the way of you pursuing your dreams though. Why not just put yourself through college? You were an adult and didn’t need her permission, and it’s not like we are entitled to parents paying for college.
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 I was 16 when I got into college 🫣 I graduated college and I’m only 19 now so still very much so a baby trying to figure out what to do in this world 😂😅 I absolutely love my job and yours sounds amazing too

Your talent is truly unmatched and it's frustrating that your views and subscriber count don't reflect how incredible your work is. I, personally, love the creativity: your ingenuity has carved out (pun intended - why not?) a new medium for people to express themselves and I’m such a fan of that. I’m a big classical music person and I think the world needs Art as an outlet for Self-Expression, especially for people who may not know how to find the words (like myself) to do so. I don’t know how to wrap this up; but, I’m here for the ride and I’m excited to see the next cake 😁👍🏻

One of the things that impresses me the most is your knowledge in color theory! You all but perfectly replicate the colors of your models and that is SUPER impressive
I hate that it’s a cake but I LOVE THAT IT IS A WORK OF ART. That takes skill to make something so good that it looks real. I’m artistic so I know how it’s hard. Just because I hate it because it’s a cake or I would never eat it. You have to love the time you put in it to make it. All love here 🥰😍🤩😇

I am absolutely mesmerised by the creativity here on full display. As soon as I thought I'd fully gotten to grips with using food as art work, you then pull the canvas out of no where with such attention to detail and love in it. I can't get over how you were able to mimic paint with icing so well, and the joy and enthusiasm irradiated from your voice makes it 100 times better.
There are very few channels on CZcams nowadays which not only pioneer certain concepts but take it to the max with the implementation.
You have gained my utmost respect with your ability to excel in such a wider array of skills and stay relentlessly passionate about your craft even in the face of mocking and criticism. Keep up the brilliant work, there are so many people who find it amazing 👍.
I just found you on a Kitboga livestream and I've been binge watching your videos. I'm blown away! Thank you for sharing your techniques and tips. I learned to make modeling chocolate a couple of years ago and, while I don't possess an iota of your sculpting skills, your texturing techniques have my wheels turning in many new directions!
My first adventure with modeling chocolate was a giant hamburger cake for my kids' birthday celebration, complete with shortbread French fries and onion rings. Their reactions were priceless, they couldn't get their heads to process eating a sweet that looked like a savory lol. I'm excited to see the rest of your videos, both old and new!
It's rare to bring something new to the world. It's a concept as massive as thinking of how the universe never ends. This kind of achievement is the biggest thing as a human, I think, that you can revel in.
i found you recently because i was scrolling through youtube shorts and yours popped up. i was about to just go by because there have been acrap ton of shorts with weird stories attached to them. thankfully i stopped and became hooked. you are absolutely amazing. i have a background in art and never thought about applying it to the cake world...maybe i will

Speaking of things changing overtime, 40 years ago when I got married, I couldn’t get a chocolate wedding cake. I’m sure they could’ve done it,but no one would go to bat for me.

I recently discovered your videos and I love them! I also really like that you use modeling chocolate instead of fondant that a lot of other famous cake makers use. I personally don't really like fondant. Hyper realism is always so cool to see, especially in a different medium such as cake!

I love your cakes! It’s both satisfying and mind blowing to see what you’re capable of creating. In a weird way, watching you make cake versions of things like broccoli and garlic makes me appreciate the actual versions more. Because of you, now I think vegetables are cute lol

I love your cakes and I also have an art background (painting, sculpture, etc..). I use to have my own catering company and I would make all kind of cakes, but I never thought to put my two favorite things together until I saw your cakes. Now you have inspired me to also sculpt cakes. I like to add some of the old Duff Goldman touches to my cakes by giving them light and/or motion. I like to see just how far I can push the limits of cake decorating. I actually made a radio cake that played music. What could be better at a party than the cake playing the party music🤷🏼♀️
