Stranger things is a great show. But the handmaid’s tale is deep and powerful and absolutely beautiful. I dont think its comparable at all.

tonyitalboy I'd watched only half of the first episode coz I didn't liked that tv show. It was so boring and not exciting. It didn't changed my life. In contrast, stranger things is an amazing tv show. It's a kind of tv series that I hadn't seen in years. The plot, the storyline, the cinematography,the soundtrack, and actors/ actress hands down to all of these i couldn't ask for more. It's like watching a movie. It's so all worth it for what I had paid in Netflix streaming. More so, stranger things is a kind of television series that makes me happy. No wonder it has been a phenomenal hit since the released of season 1 and it continues to create a huge fan bases as the show season been released last nov. 2017. Thank you duffer brothers for creating stranger things👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💕
I agree Stanger Things is very good and I’m a huge fan but Handmaids Tale is totally different. Amazing acting as well and the story is so well written. You can’t compare the 2 at all and maybe you should give it a try. They deserve every award they get

If i hadn't watched Handmaid's tale, probably i would've said ST should've won, but i started binging THT from S1 to S4, and I can tell you, they deserved the recognition my god 👏👏👏
All of you complaining, you should watch the show. Or even better read Margaret Atwood’s book. I’ve seen both series, Handmaid’s Tale is way more important and relevant, specially with what is going on nowadays.

Most of you guys here: 'I only approve of things that are approved by millions of others'. ST is good but had at least 2 dull episodes which is too much for a 9ep show. HMT had exceptional script with a current topic and a great cast. ST will maybe win next time but now, it would be absolutely undeserving with a show like HMT around.
It went way beyond what I could have expected from an adaptation, there's not a performance I didn't believe or a script that wasn't engaging from the first minute to the last (and like, half of them had my heart in my mouth for a good portion). Stranger Things is a great success for a reason but yeah, I don't see much reason to recognise it as the pinnacle of current TV, which is very competitive. Actually credit to them for going in the drama category, you get a lot of 'genre' movies going in comedy/musical as it's seen as easier to win, to be nominated against juggernauts like game of thrones is no small thing to reckon with.
I'm happy THT won. Very deserving.

And if it weren't for The Handmaid's Tale, then Game of Thrones and the Crown would have won. ST didn't really have a chance, it's not good enough for Golden Globes or Emmys. It thrives in the teen's and kid's awards, though.

This show is nothing but cruelty to women, and telling men it’s okay to do this. all they do is punish these girls and none of them get any breaks at all. I stopped at episode 6 cause nothing good happens to these women, and the women do not support each other at all either.

ST is a great show, yes, no doubt about it. But there are much better shows. The Handmaid's Tale deserved it. You probably haven't watched it, so do it. You won't regret it, believe me. Proceed to watch The Crown and Game of Thrones. ST just doesn't have much depth and scope to beat these other shows.
