I've always liked the notion that time has not always "moved" at the same rate. Just as space is expanding due to (possibly) dark energy, time may also be expanding, so in essence time may be moving faster now than it was when it first came into being. What we refer to as 1 year now may have been considerably longer comparatively to what 1 year was 13 billion years ago.

@@Enjoymentboy That would mean that time is accelerating, in other words it has a velocity which is increasing. Acceleration is the change in velocity (Δv) over the change in time (Δt), represented by the equation a = Δv/Δt. So, our local time would be relative to some outside global time. In that case, our universe is within another universe. Maybe you're right though. You know, as we age it always seems that time is going faster and faster. Edit: And if all that is true, and the feeling about increasing speed of time is real, then it means that we are somehow tied to that outside universe, maybe through a soul, which in return allows us to experience this acceleration of time.

I think he provided no answer. Saying something is infinite is the ultimate disgrace to the physical understanding of the universe. I'd agree to it if they stated that there was an external reality or external infinite force managing the physical. But saying the universe is infinite, implies not understanding what infinite is.

The formation of the beginning mass of the big bang could be possibly explained as a 3 dimensional venn diagram of expanding universes. Eventually there will be the intersectional points between universes that have a build up of mass. This would be affected by negative gravity the same way a fusion reactor would function. The pressure forcing this mass together would override the negative gravity of dark matter and create another big bang singularity point..
What about the South Pole ? The analogy ONLY WORKS on a Globe in a 3D space ! There are as many STATES of Space/Time than we think ! One version is REVERSE TIME & PLANCK QUANTUM LENGTH SLICED SLICES . Don't even start to ask me about TIME CRYSTALS !!!!
@@BrianAndersonTT it's just an analogy though. An analogy is a simplification. It's used to make complex ideas easier to understand not necessarily to equate them to their simpler counterparts. But supposing you could do that, as a human being, how would you detect it? Our existence is completely reliant on time. Our biology, the constant motion of chemicals and electrical signals in your body and every atom and particle that composes you would not move if time did not exist, and therefore you would just freeze and not realize that you're frozen, and when/if time moved again you wouldn't realize it was frozen at one point. Unless you somehow believe consciousness can transcend time for some reason, but in any case it would need to not be tied to our bodies.

I've always liked the notion that time has not always "moved" at the same rate. Just as space is expanding due to (possibly) dark energy, time may also be expanding, so in essence time may be moving faster now than it was when it first came into being. What we refer to as 1 year now may have been considerably longer comparatively to what 1 year was 13 billion years ago.
one year is time strongly connected to our planet and our sun, just like gravity on Earth it is different everywhere else
relative to what would it be faster
@@e-pops Relative to how it behaved at a previous point, or even a later one. the point being that it doesn't have to be static in it's progress. Just like when you're on a plane. You can't tell if you're going 300kph or 450kph but the plane experiences and it still happens. One doesn't have to be aware or to compare against a different state for the state to be different. Some things can just "be".
Edit:
And if all that is true, and the feeling about increasing speed of time is real, then it means that we are somehow tied to that outside universe, maybe through a soul, which in return allows us to experience this acceleration of time.

The actual scientific explanation for the 7 days of creation is something like this;
The universe is 7 days old at the point of creation( looking forward) and 13.8 billion years old (looking backwards at the point of creation). This is called space time dilation - the further you get from the point of creation - the older the age of the universe.
Cross section of the universe is as per NASA WMAP diagram.

czcams.com/video/_RuIVCm7pNc/video.html (diff between HughRoss & GeraldS is minimal. The differences - GS used Olam(modern Hebrew) vs yom )
b) Hugh Ross gives very detailed explanations on the frames of reference
God is talking from
i) Gen 1.1 - at the point of creation(1st day/2nd day/3rd day),
ii) Gen 1.2 from the surface of the earth
iii) Gen 1.3 - Let there be light - the atmosphere become transparent
iv) Age of man decreased from 1000 years to 120 years - Hugh Ross explains in his video how the explosion of the supernova about 100k years ago ( monoserotis ??) and that the cosmic radiation from this caused genetic degradation. this is why the age of the patriarchs decreased from 1000 years (adam to noah/shem) to 120ish around abraham. 4:11 I felt the same Joe 💀 😭
I can listen to Brian Greene for a year straight.
"repulsive gravity" sounds like my experience with girls in high school :( :P
MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!
HAHAHAHAHAHA! 🤣🤣🤣
I don’t have a strong enough *gravitational pull* on girls and I’m in grade 12 already😂👌 *DAMN*
The internet has birthed the *lonely man* generation🤣🤣💀🤟Idk anymore.....
@@RCHomemadeHobbies I went to high school in the 90s. So I have absolutely no idea what it's like nowadays /shrug. All I know is the suicide rates are skyrocketing so I can only imagine. I was merely just kidding but you're right. Kids today are as lonely as they've ever been in human history and I don't know how we fix that
Meanwhile in another dimension:
Elk: Yeah we go Joe Rogan hunting sometimes
🤣🤣🤣
Joe: Shit, pull that Jamie up
An elk can eat a good-sized Joe Rogan for like, a year.
ELK: Have any of you guys tried DMT?
Elk Rogan loves hunting joes. Then one day a podcast guest asks Elk Rogan if he thinks there's a parallel universe out there where there's a Joe Rogan hunting elks, and he says "It's entirely possible".
My brain just cramped up
Brian Greene is always so good in explaining and we all know that. But, Joe asking these deep questions amazes me, not to offend him of course. i am amazed by his understanding and questioning.
This guy does an amazing job explaining. He's analogies make you understand why there really is no answer.
I think he provided no answer.
Saying something is infinite is the ultimate disgrace to the physical understanding of the universe.
I'd agree to it if they stated that there was an external reality or external infinite force managing the physical.
But saying the universe is infinite, implies not understanding what infinite is.
Crippled Knight The fact you’re arguing something that isn’t known shows you’re lack of understanding. As we know it, the universe is infinite. Your logic is very flawed
Logically there cant be an answer, with the answer there will always be another question and the questions will recycle eventually
Crippled Knight u wrong. But he didnt even say that. U both wrong. But u are even more wrong than him, i didnt think that could exist
there’s really a lot of physicists in these comments huh, why can’t it be infinite? because humans can’t understand the concept of infinity or no time?? so it’s not real ??
Joe “going through multiple existential crisis’” Rogan
This made me lol at 3 am
Jeffrey D sake but at 5:30 am lol
am dying here @ 11:54
You are all lol-ing at "everytime" "ever" in all realities
...except that one reality where it is called olo -ing
But that place is a bunch of dicks
Adam Malec I mean.. you don’t have to comment.. others are vibing and you came in like “don’t laugh at this how dare you! I don’t find it funny so you can’t!” I hope you’re good if you need to talk about things to get your headspace back in check during lockdown hit me up!
I like this guy’s answers.. jeez man 🤯🤯🤯
He's like Neil Degrasse Tyson minus all the self-indulgent narcissism
Bertrand Russell couldnt agree more.
Right you are.
Bang on
Na doc, he's just a better actor
@@jensonjohnson2297 you mean he acts better?
The analogy of going north not making sense at the north pole was perfect - the mark of a great teacher.
That sort of equivalence suggests that you could go back to a point in time where time stood still or did not exist.
And the geographic north pole is not the same as the magnetic north pole.
you can fly north of the planet through the environment and then space
Brian Green = a larger landscape of reality
I’ve always thought of it as something like multiple radar arrays intersecting and the overlapping areas create extensions of dimension.
Meanwhile in another universe.
Joe: Jaime, how does my hair look
lmao
This guy looks like bill maher as a an accountant
He even sounds like it too
Gold Jozi well done.
Gold Jozi also mixed with Brent Spiner. “Data”.
@Amarant Coral
Has alot of Martin Short in there imo
That is Bill Maher. We’re in a simulation.
A better answer would have been "Nobody has a damn clue"
He does a great job using analogies for people who don’t understand the physics talk
Can confirm. I'm an idiot and felt like I kinda understood it. 😅
that north equals the beginning of time analogy is perfect. makes you really think.
That’s because he’s making it up. It’s like saying JR Tolkien made history fun!
Was just going to say the same like I'm not stupid but being high af and watching these sometimes I get lost lmao. But this guy explains it so simply and yet beyond what we can comprehend!😍😍🤯🤯👍👍
I got heat equations merging with the other natural equations. I don’t have my doctorate however he does well approaching the new/90s ideas albeit the idea of true north(can be singularity) and also exchanging of repulsive gravity(LIGO reacting to the San Juan)
Before the “Big Bang” was the “Big Foreplay”
😂😭

I am constantly in awe og Joe's ability to ask anyone from any field meaningful questions.
joe loves life and has a very keen interest in stuff
Honestly thats his best quality the man has so much experience at interviewing thats hes perfected asking the right question
Og Joe... ?
He’s stoned
His level of curiosity is something we should all have
Maybe I'm a nerd, but this was one of Joe's better guests. He's extremely intelligent and well versed on how to explain these events. This interview alone has got me thinking...….
SPENCE totally out of context but whatever....
Boo Man put Brian Green and Brian Cox on a show and I’d never turn it off!
@@sleeptank444 He's right though. Boo Man is indeed a fuck head.

That one is great too
