Cronje is a gentleman that's why he accepted... Manoj Prabhakar is having a world record of playing most matches as Opening Batsman cum Opening Bowler in both Test and ODI Matches. Go watch him and Nayan Mongia batting against West Indies 1994-95 match they throw away the match by not running the runs that were very easy. We never saw Kapil doing that. And guess what even Nayan was involved as per the reports and hence removed.

Prabhakar might have been lot of things but he was one of the most important player in Indian team around 1990-93 period. He did not have the pace but he swung the ball around corners in helpful conditions and had a fairly good defensive technique. In 1992 world cup, he was, by far, India's most impactful bowler.

This was entertaining and i don't doubt Manoj Prabhakar but this kind of private testimony between people who knew each other very well should be taken with a grain of salt. People exaggerate and sai all kinds of things they don't actually remember just to be agreeable with a friend in a private conversation. And guess what even Nayan was involved as per the reports and hence removed.

Prabhakar might have been lot of things but he was one of the most important player in Indian team around 1990-93 period. He did not have the pace but he swung the ball around corners in helpful conditions and had a fairly good defensive technique. In 1992 world cup, he was, by far, India's most impactful bowler.

1. Public memory is very short and life moves on for fixers and whistle blowers alike. Eventually Manoj Prabhakar became the coach for Nepal cricket team for a few months and Ajay Jadeja became coach for the Afghanistan team. Not much difference between a whistle blower and a match fixer.

This was entertaining and i don't doubt Manoj Prabhakar but this kind of private testimony between people who knew each other very well should be taken with a grain of salt. People exaggerate and sai all kinds of things they don't actually remember just to be agreeable with a friend in a private conversation. There are obviously some in this series who give key and compelling evidence but ultimately the evidence is flimsy for any actual conviction although personally i do believe Kapil Dev offered Manoj Prabhakar money to underperform
