- junichi masuda - pokecenter theme
cover by anamora
hello! it's been a while, hasn't it? rest assured, we're working on a lot of interesting projects for the future! this is my personal cover of the pokecenter theme from the pokemon games. i've always enjoyed playing pokemon, especially emerald on the gameboy advance, so the theme has a lot of nostalgic value for me. however, i thought i'd go for a much more.. healing and calm tone than the happy one attributed to the games. lot of kyo-ani vibes, slower tempo and feels. i hope you enjoy my arrangement!

SOO GOOD
I came to rest my pokemon and it put my heart to rest instead
Earlier today I accidentally deleted my starter pokemon empoleon, i tried hacking him back but I didn’t want that, it felt like I artificially made a replica of him rather than have him back. I don’t think i can go back to playing after That experience, but somehow i felt like i could go on, like this was some kind of lesson. Rest in peace flow, you will be missed.
If I may gush a bit, I very much love the reversed piano. I know that's used in a LOT of creepy arrangements, but I can't help but look to Animal Crossing for that. And the fact that in the beginning, you can hear what sounds like kids talking and yelling, possibly having their own battle near the center, as well as the whistles of a few nearby flying-types. The pastel wallpaper, bookshelf, and indoor plants in the gif definitely remind me of a local clinic waiting room, and since that styling is literally meant to calm patients, it works so well with this arrangement. And the gentle shine moving across the screen and the PC along with the blinking cursor on the (very cutely font-ed) text box gives a reassurance that this is where you can go after a long day to calm down with your Pokemon. Cheers to you, Anamora, you are the very best like no one ever was.
i love the idea of kids having battles outside the pokecenter! i initially added it thinking it would add some nostalgia factor but that's such a lovely take on it. i appreciate your enthusiasm very much, thank you! hope you stick around for the next video!
