This was a really good series. At least the first few arcs. I read most of these when they came out. Ennis really surprised me here, I thought that he would disrespect the character and treat him as a joke . But I remember really liking it .
This was a good , underrated series .

It was ok. Stella felt so 1 dimensional as a character, and her overall actions are not something that a NORMAL person would do. Her relationship with rhino after he became smart, and his overall rise to power felt so.... fanfiction like??

I once bought a Spider-man character encyclopedia and for some unknown reason Rhino was the ONLY character that wasn't in it! I later bought a Marvel character encyclopedia that had everyone including Rhino but I still don't understand how the first one forgot to include him.

I agree! I found that really surprising in retrospect, having since read The Boys and some of his Punisher stories. Goes to show that a good writer can access different aspects of themselves and not just write in their own voice every time.

It should be a detective mystery akin to The Strange Case of Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde and he would use both an artificial skin mask that he made using the genetic structure of the venom symbiote and real time deep fake technology using Mysterio's tech.

Shame it hasn't aged well but Heartbreaker was my uncle (Daniel Way)'s first comic for marvel! The parts that have aged poorly likely were due to ignorrance or unintentional on his part, he's a good dude just came from a... let's say outdated upbringing XD

I admit that I think I just don’t like Garth Ennis. But the villain narrator aside, it felt out of place with the rest of the book, and I wasn’t a huge fan of how it just inserted this character who never showed up before that was somehow the worst bully Peter ever came up against and was incredibly formative in his youth or whatever. Flash was Peter’s bully. There never was a Carl.
