***On R16, I thought it would be easier to connect the 10xCH with a Sl St + 1xCH, unfortunately many of you got confused. You can replace the Sl St + 1xCH with a SC and carry on to finish the round. Thanks

😊
One of the best videos for making gloves. Yes it is easy, but the way you explain/show the construction makes it even easier for us visual learners! Thank you
love the look and texture of the single and double crochets alternating
Fantastic pattern thank you. I’ve followed this with soft dk for my toddler and size is exactly his size as you’re doing on this video. I like how you explain and show the yarn and written instructions on the screen too. Definitely will be making more of your patterns. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words. And I'm glad it worked out for you ☺️
this tutorial was great, this was my first time making mittens. Turned out super cute ❤
Thank you so much for this pattern and tutorial. I made these mittons and I am just a beginner. I made a matching hat for a Christmas present for my Aunt. They turned out so nice and I am pretty picky! I will be looking at more video from your channel.
How many meters or skeins did you end up using for a pair of these? Beginner here as well! Hope you see this :)
Beautiful work. Thank you for showing your way of making mittens. I may give it a try!
I have followed your instructions along the video and it was very helpful!! Thanks you for that. I used another size of yarn so I messed up though. So, I would recommend that you explain why are we doing this round, what are going to have when we finish it and if someone uses another size of string how should they do it. Other than that, it was great!
Thanks for sharing this!😱❤️ Mines not perfect, but I did it!
Thank u for the video. I made before with bottom up but these are top down. Will surely try doing it. ❤
Thank you for this pattern! This is perfect for the mittens I wanted to make for my neighbor 🖤.
Thank you so very much for this tutorial, I made a pair they came out pretty. Thank you again.
Awesome!! Thank you for dropping by ☺️
@@HandmadeByMei you're most welcome. I'm new to crochet just found your page yesterday. I've made the gloves and now trying my best to do the pink purse 👛 (the crocodile pattern) you are very clear in your instructions and I’m so grateful to you. When I figure out how to post pictures here I will so you my final project. Thanks again! 💜💜💜
Nice music and great visuals. Easy to follow but yours looks so much nicer than mine. Thanks. My first crochet mittens!!!!!!
This video is the most easiest way of doing gloves for crochet I have found and I have searched a lot thank you so much I have started to make these mittens for my local homeless shelter
Hm... somehow I ended up with 31 stitches....
This happened me too, I think it is because I use the first stitch twice. Once in the beginning and then once in the end.
You can always do an invisible decrease right at the start to take away that extra chain if it shows up!! You just stick your hook in the front loop, twist it to stick your hook through the front loop of the second chain adjacent, then yarn over and pull through all three loops on your hook! It’s pretty seamless and hard to spot if you accidentally end up with one little extra chain.
@@Tosfan_73 thank you so much
I have 36. No clue what I did wrong
@@jasonmuffin7898i didnt realise youre supposed to ignore the sl every round, as in you sl into the sc or dc you did in the same stitch
This is a very nice video. It’s the only one I have found so far that has a good looking thumb. Love the way you did the ribbing at the end. It’s a classy looking pair of mittens thank you for the tutorial.
Thank you for the compliments ☺️
Amazing video thank you
on the second part of rounds , round one in the thumb , i didn't quiet understand what you meant by ( 10 ch , skip 4 on round 16) because i didn't see where you used it in the round 😅
Thank you so much! Love the design, love the pattern and tutorial!
Thank you 😊
Very nice to work up .😊
Thanks for sharing
Lmfao I absolutely love this pattern thank you so much, but I gotta say the soundtrack is like an epic movie lol I feel like I'm crocheting to a dramatic scene or something
PLS
I had such high hopes that I could do this pattern. But I am getting hung up on the chain 10. Another one I have to pass on.
Very nice tutorial 😍
thank you 😀
Love them
I see you used #4 yarn, so how many yards to make this pair of mittens?
Thanks
mine somehow got super big…i love this pattern though! i think im going to try it again with a different yarn
Thanks!
This video is great and easy to follow.
I have a question though, when I pull ( 1:16 ) it doesn’t create that star in the middle. The stitches looks squashed together at the bottom. What am I doing wrong?
The cuff is taking me longer than the whole mitten. I am either doing it wrong or I can’t get the tension right. At this rate I’ll need 100 rounds to get it to wrap and it’s taking forever. 😢
I'm having trouble with the cuff too! The stitches are so tight.
Me too! My hand is killing me. I am looking for an easier pattern for the wrist
Thank you so much! But how can I do it for my right hand?
Supar medam naku aladamvachu chusi neruchukuttnu Thank you medam naku chala istam elative inka modals chupichadi medam
Is there any way you could make a better video for the cuffs? I’m not understanding how to do this part.
very nice but explanation not very clear, especially on the thumb. But i love it its super cute! thank you
Sorry about the confusion. I've already mentioned it in the description about the thumb. Thanks
Round 6 I end up with more than 30 stitches. I don’t know where I’m screwing up
Is there another way to do the cuff? The slip stitches are so tight I can't get my hook through.
ThaNKS
how to i make the slip stitches look smoother? where i have done them it just looks terrible and i’m not sure what i’ve done wrong
Idk how to do row 8. Because when I finish row 7 it’s still 30 stitches. But when I do row 8 like row 6, I’m confused. If 4 stitches are used 30/4 is 28 with 2 remaining. What do I do?
I wish I knew how tough the cuff is before I started🥲
I had 34 stiches, i think i did the beginning steps 7 times each instead of 6
how do I make one for my right hand? just looks weird with two left mittens
Okay, when you alternate between row 6 and 7...you're basically making a hat at this point...this thing is huge at row 10.
Is there somewhere I can get written pattern
Hello, how many meters/grams to make a pair of this mittens?
Hi
I'd like to make these for my 4year old grandaughter. How do I adapt size please?
Double of 12 is 24....okay I finally got what you were stating...
I've tried to do the cuffs 3 times and I end up with the same issue. My rows get smaller and smaller. I'm not sure what is going wrong.
For the cuff, in just a few rows it is starting to make a trapezoid shape instead of a rectangle. Will this straighten out as I go or am I doing something wrong?
You are probably forgetting to chain at the end of the row
Had a lot of trouble with the thumb and now I am having trouble with the wrist section.
What size are these mittens please? I’m looking for 4 toddlers mittens with this stitch
I’m sorry, I feel dumb for asking, but how would I translate this to a right handed mitten?
Hi! Wondering what size is being made in the vid? This size was perfect for me, now making pair for my mother with skinnier hands. wondering if i should downsize. Thanks!
I have small hands, and this size fits most ladies in general. And it stretches, therefore it'll fit a medium as well. I hope this helps. ☺️
I have made one mitten using red heart super saver yarn and a size H/5.0mm hook, but for some reason it came out huge, like man size. I do like the pattern, should I try again with maybe a smaller hook size?
@@proverbs31wifey2 I also found the pattern too large for me. I worked the mittens on 24 stitches instead of 30. Hope that helps.
Do you have a video on bigger ones
Im stuck at 15:16, you said 12 total stitches which leaves me a big hole if i do a slip stitch?
On 3rd row I ended up with 24 double crochets including the the 2 chains at beginning...if I do 18 dc I don't complete circle....
Don't know if you came back to it at all, but the instructions were to alternate dc and 2dc on the third row. It sounds like you did 2dc around the whole thing.
At 8:20 didn't understand by what you meant ....(& 10 CH) this is to start the thumb area.
What if u don't do magic ring cab u use the chain 4 method to start
Yes I did
How many yards of 4 pound worsted weight can make one pair of mittens? I’m curious because I’m actually going to use a bulky 6 wool. I need to convert. If anyone has made these please let me know how many yards of #4 yarn you have used for one pair of medium
I think 1 pounder #4 yarn you can make 4pairs for adult
how much yarn does one pair need?
I have no idea what « SC all around- 14 stitches (10xCH + skip 4 on row 16 means » for the thumb..
I like this video, I am a beginner at crocheting and I am not sure how to make the mittens smaller as I am part way through and think they will be too big, any suggestions?
Supar medam naku chala istam cheyadam aladamvachu meru chupicharuga chesthanu medam thank you medam
does this come in just one size?
does this come in just one size
Which size is this?

Is the border stretchy ?
Yeah it's pretty stretchy!
extremely confused after making the 10 ch for the thumb... how did u end up at the other side when you said to do 26 sc in total?? i read the other comment asking about this but im still confused after reading the replies 💔
Do you have a toddlers video?
5:43 Round 6
6:17 Round 7
Why isnt written pattern on here? Should be.

I love these mittens and am going to try making them but your video is very blurry so hope I am able to complete them. I noticed your other videos are blurry too, why is that?
Oh it is!?!? Thanks for letting me know. I know it is not at the highest definition and I do noticed it sometimes it's quite blurry and sometime it's not. And I thought it's my internet. Anyway I am looking into a new video editor. Cheers
@@HandmadeByMei I don’t notice any blurriness.. Even if there is, this was very easy to follow
Somehow ended up with 15 stitches on the thumb… No clue how!
OMGosh, doing the thumb is hard when you have fat stubby fingers that don't want to cooperate!!! hahahaha!!! But, I'm still enjoying making these mittens!!
Hahaha...yeah, it takes extra attention when working on smaller parts. And I'm glad you're still enjoy making it. 😊
16:24 there’s no total st count. I’m assuming it’s 10?
16:49 also unsure how many st. R7 suddenly turns into the end of R7.. is the (sc into 3, sc2tog) supposed to repeat once?
my bad for missing that
02:36
I have a quick question on the pattern. I got through the mitten and started working on the cuff. In round two you slip stitch the first and last stitch, and slip stitch through the back loop for the middle stitches (10) for a total of 12 stitches, and then in round 3 it says to slip stitch the first and last stitch again but to slip stitch into the back loop for 12 stitches? Where are we supposed to get these extra two stitches from?
yeah, back loop stitches are 10 + first and last so each round has total of 12 stitches
@@HandmadeByMei Okay thanks! That's what I ended up assuming. I just got a bit confused because the phrasing was inconsistent. Almost done with my first mitten. I'm excited for how it's turning out!
talking video is better music loud cant understand written pattern m a beginner i can crochet made many project following videos. i found the way u r doing is good but could not understand
thank you, would consider in future videos 😀
Why can't I get 18 double crochet on row 3 ,ist 12 × 2 = 24 ,this pattern does not work, any one else having problems.
Are you trying to 2xDC into each stitch? It should be alternating a DC, then 2xDC (two into same stitch) for 18 total stitches. The math would be 12 stitches from the previous round, + 6 for having an extra DC every other stitch.
You need to do 1 double crochet, then in next stitch do 2 double crochet in the same stitch. Do this 6 times. You are turning each set of 2 into 3 . This equals 18 st.
Then next row do dc, dc then 2dc in next . 6 times . Turns each set of 3 st into 4st, equals 24 and so on.
Im stuck on row 19 where i have 33 instead of 30 what have i doke wrong?
I can’t do the videos with music.
When you say "skip 4" (8:03), it actually means 4? because I count 6 :(
I'm so confused:(, sorry for my grammar, I'm not a native english speaker.
Skip 4, then slip stitch into the 5th
I swear to god there is no way that after round 5 it’s 30 stitches there, i remade it like 6 times, watched video even more, doing it step by step theres extra 5 stitches
Would be helpful to know how much yarn is needed for each size. I bought your written pattern thinking it would be there, and it isn't there either. Disappointing
Hi, I normally don't put down how much yarn is needed for small projects like this. For this project I used less than 1 ball (300m) of yarn, if that helps. 😊
Kak kalo dijual harganya berapa
Which tribe r u
Lol
how awful do you guys think this would be with acrylic yarn
Too fast!!!
I prefer working from bottom up. Also, I prefer for teacher to talk. Music and no talking not good for learning.
Way too fast
There’s a pause button
And a .5x
Don’t know how you can say beginner .. I don’t know half these stitches
Your video it too complicated to follow. I never get the correct count. I can't even make it past 18 stitches.
Very confusing instructionss…
This is too fast for me😢😭😓
You can adjust the speed of the video if you hit the settings button
This video is extremely frustrating. When I’m looking at work I need words to tell me when you are doing something else. Looking back and forth I am missing stuff.
THIS IS CONFUSING AND FRUSTRATING AS A LEFT HANDED PERSON I ALMOST CRIED FUCK THIS!!!!!
I was doing fine until round 16. I sc 15, chained 10, skipped 4, sl st ch 1, sc all around, 26 sc. I end up back at the beginning of the ch 10. In the video, you’re on the opposite side of the chain 10 where the round ends and new round (17) begins and dblch in the next 15 stitches. I’ve watched it over at least 10 times and can’t figure it out. It’s like a few steps are missing. I don’t want to order the pattern for fear it won’t explain what I’m not understanding. If you talked along with the video, maybe it would make sense. I’m now going to frog, because the instructions aren’t very good at all for a beginner as this pattern was advertised that it was for beginners. Very disappointed. Don’t think I’ll try anything of yours again.
If you ended up creating a whole new row, then you probably flipped your work when you did the ch 10. Don’t blame the poster for your mistake. Keep your work straight. There’s no flipping in this pattern.
Pattern was VERY easy to understand.
I got stuck here too! Don't go all the way around for 26 stitches, just do 11 sc to finish the round (so the round is 26 stitches and 20 chains) and then you start the next round where you normally would. Then slipstitch like you always do at the end of a round, chain. Then she breaks it up due to the chain but it's just double crochets all the way around. So 15 dc should take you to the chain, you do 10 dc on the chain, and then continue dc to finish that round. I ended up redoing this part like 3 times because the way she explained it was so confusing. Hope this helps if you're still working on it!
Hey sassy lady, you may have more experience than I have crocheting, you don’t need to belittle me because I didn’t understand it. I did not flip my work and apparently I’m not the only one who found the instructions confusing. If you found it easy, it would be much nicer to try to explain what I didn’t understand than to be nasty. I don’t think you’d ever be good at teaching something as you seem to feel if you understand something, everyone should be able to understand. Hope your belittling me made you feel superior, because it just made you look nasty and arrogant to others.🙁
Sorry, I thought it would be easier to do a sl st + 1xch to connect the 10xch, but unfortunately I got many of you confused. You can leave out the sl st + 1xch, and place SC there and continue the round.
