I was a child then probably around 13yrs old. I volunteered myself to be initiated into the Kamajor society to take arms to fight the rebels that were destroying our future. I did and i actively part take in several attacks to defend our land. I was the last person that gave the information to Benguma Barracks about the final attack by the rebels which would have thrown Freetown into another bloody attack fiercer than J6. But since then i had not been given any platform to tell my story. I pray to God almighty to keep me alive so that i will tell this story to my children one day.

The Kamajoh Society existed long before the Civil War. These were local hunters. Kunduwai only mobilised those who were within his region from where they formed a Force.

If those gift were given to the white man, they would have utilized it, improve on it, preserved it and include it into their defense system. But the black man doesn’t know how to use his God given talent. The kamajor should have been included into our military system in Sierra Leone. There would have been a special force unit created purpose for that. But after the war, the white man came and brainwashed our stupid leaders and the heads of the Kamajors were arrested as well. That’s how it died. The idea of kamajor, if proper utilize and included into our military, we would have the best military in the world.
