To the people who say people who saves lives should be paid more you’re are absolutely right but let’s be real
You would rather buy a football shirt which is some money for wages
Than your taxes being higher which some of it goes towards NHS and army

Mourinho earns £15.25 million for managing United and Ibrahimovic has been offered £26 million a year to play for a Chinese club.

Hey Dal, could you use an inelastic/elastic supply diagram to illustrate this same point, focusing on the skills instead of the revenue brought?

surely demand is also inelastic? top teams only need a certain number of players and dont care much for bargains.

Simple: football is private business, and has millions invested into it. They'll obviously get more than people working for public companies

    • @Ping-yx6km

Not necessarily (i know this was 2 years ago), a private business putting Iphones together in China for example can have millions invested into it from Apple, but the workers get paid next to nothing, this is because there are so many people who can do that job as the skill required is low. In the case of footballers, yes the high level of profit means that football clubs are able to pay footballers more, but it is extremely difficult to reach that skill level, meaning the supply of labour is much smaller and wages are therefore a lot higher.

@@Ping-yx6kmso do footballers make magic? They do nothing. Every healthy man can do the same after some practice

its all about supply and demand. Not the footballers/teachers/singers' fault - its ours!
