Back in 2020, before quarantine, I saved someone from suicide. She became my first love and we were strong as a couple. But in November, she broke up with me because life was starting to get out of hand on her end and she told me I was straining her because I was having a hard time in college. We both cried on the day she said she was breaking up with me. A few weeks later, she found someone else and now she's happy. She went from seeing me as her hero and first love to seeing me as only her friend and nothing more. I've never had an emotional scar this big before. If anyone sees this, you can reply or you can like. It doesn't matter.
Edit: To everyone reading this, I appreciate all you have said, it's been three years now ever since I told you guys what happened...so here's the update. Still single, but I'm in a better place now, because I've been working on myself and I will continue to do that to be a better person. May 28th will be 3 years since my husband died. That was 3 days before his 51st birthday. He also died on one of my sisters'birthdays. I worked on him until the paramedics got there. One of my other sisters died 8 months later after battling colon cancer for 3 years. This song hits hard.

I lost my Dad on 1/19/22. The pain of never seeing or speaking to him again is heavy. Regrets of not spending or making enough time for him while he was here, and not knowing there wasn't going to be a tomorrow.
Take and make time for your loved ones. Life can turn on a dime at any moment. Hopefully this will connect with someone reading this, and save you from what I'm going through. Peace.
My Mom passed away on 1/19/20. The full impact of that loss never hit all at one time. Kind of odd, I know, but it came in spurts, and still does after two years. I don't think you ever get over it, you just learn to enjoy the good memories that pop into your mind and let them override the bad memories.

I know how that feels. My room is on the top floor and me and him always talked about us waiting till he could walk again (cancer took away a bunch of bone marrow from his legs) so he could see it for himself, next day he went non-responsive and lasted about a week after that before moving on. Don't take your loved ones for granted because there's going to be the one day where they won't be there.

We ate the same food, we traveled, we played games, and we had the most beautiful physical relationship imaginable. I ended our relationship because she kept me from my friends and family.
