a bungee cord works far better than the side discharge chute and gets much better spread of clippings. Mine came with it but I don't use it.

Should you bag the clips every time you mow, maybe every other time, or maybe never ?

It depends on the condition of the lawn. Disease present? Bag. Excess thatch? Bag. Healthy? Mulch. Little bit of leaves? Mulch. Ton of leaves? Bag. I’m general, if you have a healthy lawn I suggest mulching your clippings in
