Creating a custom firmware for AMLogic devices(Using AMLogic tools V6.0.0)

- Hey, in this video i explain how to make a custom firmware for AMLogic based android TV players with my recently release AMLogic tools.

1. Unpack the firmware with my tools
2. Navigate to the tmp/level2/system folder
For branding your firmware, edit the build.prop and change the "ro.build.display.id" property to whatever you would like your firmware named.
This will appear in settings.
To change the bootanimation
-to change the zip bootanimation simply replace the bootanimation.zip inside the media folder with your one.
-to enable bootvideo, edit the build.prop and change the bootvideo property to 1 to enable video booting, then place your bootvideo inside the etc folder and make sure its named "bootvideo"
To change stock recovery to TWRP, download a working TWRP for your device and click "replace recovery" button, then select the .img file
For adding system apps place your .apk file inside the app or priv-app folder
For adding apps users can remove place your .apk file in the preinstall folder(some devices may not have this or it may be named different)

How can i replace kernel in firmware from another tv box? Example, kernel with support amcodec from X96Max implement to firmware H96Max X2 (kernel not supported amcodec)? Thanks.
This is really simple, you can upack to level 1 and replace the boot.PARTITION with the kernel you have that has support, if the kernel is boot.img just rename it boot.PARTITION

Good afternoon. That RK DUmper procedure, which is done in Rockchip, how do you do it when the tv box has the Amlogic processor? In other words, how do you extract the files from the amlogic fimware? And how do you package the extracted files into an .img image? I know it's fun to do this, packing and unpacking a rockchip rom, now Amlogic I still haven't found it, how do you do that?

hi, my original FW size is aprox.1.9GB, after modifying bootlogo & bootanimation only and then saving as .img file is just 500MB. It's that ok? I don't think so.

Well ran this tool and got the following while unpacking...dtb, kernel, and recovery failed to unpack...please advise before I get the donated version...but seems like what I have been seeking
