By myself " while Pete was talking and Pete just ended up saying “ that was really nice of you that was really nice....

In Japan, you show humility and "younger" (less experienced/younger/subordinate/etc.) by toasting with your glass being lower than the other person. And when both try to be the more polite one, we just end up seeing them going all the way down 😂😂

I (somewhat drunkenly) wasted 4,000 yen on a mystery gacha vending machine. Played a 2,000 yen machine twice... got a shitty necklace with an anchor on it and a shitty cat toy.

As someone who grew up nearby, I would say the best way to experience Dallas is to live in one of the cities adjacent and go there for fun every once in a while.
Exactly! DFW is much better than just Dallas. I've lived in several of the individual cities and honestly I tend to forget which city I'm in most of the time because they've melded together now. Especially Grand Prairie, Arlington, and Irving.
Dallas is literally the worst, I live in DFW area and I refuse to go to Dallas unless absolutely needed.

Hey Connor, heard you were looking for some good fantasy from the most recent podcast. Ik you're busy and idk if you're one for books, but I would like to reccomend "The Stormlight Archive". In my opinion, it's the best piece of fiction, but it's almost certainly the best piece of fantasy. Hard to say it's "better" than LoTR, but I would argue so. Definitely better than GoT. If you have time for some rather large novels, I would highly recommend these ones, book 1 is "The Way of Kings" by Brandon Sanderson. Top tier, and if you're a fan of fantasy, and especially if you like dark stories, you'll love this series
