- The plaintiff lost respect for his son, the defendant, after he dropped out of school. The plaintiff signed a lease for an apartment for his son with the agreement he’d make payments. However, the defendant failed to make the payments, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant, who claims the plaintiff is an awful father, argues he only agreed to pay half the rent because the plaintiff was storing items in the home.
Not one tear fell from his eyes!! He knows Judge Mathis has a soft spot for men with bad fathers! 🙄 I’m glad he lost!
Your honor often loses his ability to remain impartial when it comes to these parent versus child cases. If it’s a daughter suing the mother he’ll automatically go after the daughter and try and tear her down and find some reason to dismiss her case. When it’s the son he’ll try and tear into the father looking for a reason to rule against him

Mathis just wanted to fight with someone the entire time in this case then wanted to talk about himself the rest of the time. Mathis overreacted as usual. The defendant looked as though he was trying to force himself to cry in my opinion.
