  • This accessory for your miter saw will make your miter saw safer and easier to cut small stock and may just eliminate the need for a table saw miter sled. That’s what it did for me!

You’re like our favorite Woodworking uncle that just randomly sends you a birthday card and $5.

It’s been a long time since my last comment. A lot has happened in my life. I’ve gone through plenty of ups and plenty of downs. And yet, even in the lowest of moments, I never forgot your channel. I attribute all of the success in my life to you and your videos. Without them I would’ve gone down a dark path, but your creativity and craftsmanship have kept me in the light. If I ever feel lost or unsure about something, I ask myself “What would the Walnut Workshop do?”. A lot of people seem to watch your videos solely to improve their woodworking skills, but I think they’re missing the point. I see this channel, not as a tool to improve my woodworking, but as a tool to teach me how to live a better life. I thank you for the years of content and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for the future.
    Sincerely,
    Your biggest fan

I just forwarded my video to a friend in need and read this again. Pure gold! The support of fans like you is what keeps this channel going. It motivates me, my support and sound crew, and editors to get up every morning and carry on to keep pumping out this content. We are really excited about our current project on dust collection blast gates in the pipeline that should be done within the next 19 months. Thanks again!

a neat idea, i like this one , and also dennis from hooked on woods channel, but his is a lot more work for zero clearance purposes, this is quick and easy to build, thanks.

Great idea for a simple yet very practical accessory, thanks. Your tips are very helpful.
One possible enhancement would be to add T track to the length of the plywood base as well. Then you could employ any kind of track clamps to hold down a stop block or smaller pieces that you're cutting.

A brilliant idea. Thanks for sharing. I don't own a mitre saw just yet, instead I've relied on my trusty (german) table saw for years. What you just showed made me think that I will get a mitre saw in the future, as I can see a lot of uses with this "sled". It sure adds precision to the cuts! All the best / Peter

I write down info on my jigs. Like, what saw it was made for, trench-mode depth, saw blade used. All the stuff i wont remember.

I was so excited to see another video from you show up! It may be a long time between your videos but they are always incredibly useful. Thank you for sharing when you can!
I 'm going to build one of these. I already have a zero clearance fence on my kapex but it sort of falls down on mitered cuts. I think this will be a good addition and I can just slide that one to the side when using this. Thanks for sharing!

Let me know how you like it. I did a zero clearance fence and got rid of it. Can’t remember why, but this idea was a keeper.
