Congratulations! That is an absolutely fabulous Chore Coat. Your tailor outdid himself. Your idea was executed with virtual perfection and YOU look good in the garment. Well done and Bravo to you. Actually, I saw the previous video regarding the buttons although I am not sure if I commented. It was a very coincidental event since I was deciding on the buttons for my Westworld Shirt on the same day and, in fact, finished sewing the shirt a week ago. My end result did not turn out too badly. The only thing that is a bit off is the collar. But I am going to wear it as is. As for the buttons on my shirt; I used snap fasteners to forgo buttonholes, I'll do the more traditional thing in a future garment. If it really bothered me; I know how to disassemble and attach a replacement but I am not. Since I am novice sewer with machine sewing-I decided to let the minor errors remain. They were teaching tools and I know that I'll not repeat the same mistake(s) twice. In fact; I will do a Westworld 2.0 Shirt sometime in the fall. In the interim; I'll continue sew other projects to keep the momentum in skill/experience building going. Of course, when I complete the improved version; it will be interesting, for me, to see them side by side and note my progress. Finally(it's about time you're no doubt thinking 😁) I am not sure that you have really saved much money since now you'll be in a creative frenzy making more garments.🙃😂

This is my favorite thing I have seen you review and I am a boot addict. This jacket though is something else. I wasn’t sure what it would look like when you did the initial video but this turned out amazing. Good insight on that leather. I would have missed that insight for sure lol.
Looks good! Colours that are a bit more out there always look so good in suede for some reason. I think it’s because it dulls the boldness a little and adds some texture to have a grounded feel

The coats run true to size. I have 3 from Grown and Sewn. I have one from Filson. I have one from Carhartt WIP.

The Y'2 is horse but for some reason they call it Black. They did a black overdye on it.
