  • Welcome to Episode 9 of Rover! Today I'm at Lostwithiel on the Cornish Main Line where services are seen by Great Western Railway and CrossCountry.
Lostwithiel was a truly brilliant station to film. You can hear trains from so far away which is incredible especially when it's HSTs doing it. I found the views spectacular and found the scenery quite nice. Definitely a station I'll be returning to.
    Overall rating: 10

I hope this station never gets refurbished, it looks absolutely wonderful, old style platforms, semaphores and signal cabin, shame the old HSTs will be gone soon, spectacular film as always Kieran, that wait for the HST took up a quarter of your video LOL, keep up the good work and a thumbs up from me as always

I agree, this station is a classic example of a historically beautiful station. Shame with today's modern society, it's only a matter of time I think.

I owe you an apology I've already seen this video and didn't leave a comment I have now! Loved the semaphores oh please NR keep a FEW on your system please get in with the retro crowd we've moved on from the 1960s corporate image era when everything had to look the same. Like the location for some crazy reason this reminds me of the late Bridestowe station on the old Southern line from Exeter to Plymouth via Okehampton (closed 1968) dunno why I saw it in 1966 (when I was 7) with a Warship and a dmu and didn't get the numbers RATS!

I agree, a lot of these old style stations need to stay the way they are. 😊
