There was an auto mechanic in our town in the early sixties who had a sign over his garage that read "The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer". I believe that you are that kind of guy.
I thought for sure you were going to find snapped off bolts or stripped threads when you went to replace them. Glad to see you went back to the longer videos too.
Great catch on that one Jeremy spotting a transmission support bracket she drives good now 🔧
This video was a huge help! Thank you.
There transmission mounts are prone to break too. Nothing bad. I love my hustler! Great mower. Awesome Video 📹 👍👍Very informative!
My next door neighbor has a Raptor, looks like I'll be checking his transmission bolts just to see. Thanks Jeremy.
A great video!!!! Thank you. You seem like a very nice person!!! 🙂
I need to put a replacement engine on a Honda HRC216 this winter. I think i found some content of yours for this. Hope I can get the replacement done using this content. Thanks!
Thanks, I appreciate your video.
I have a Hustler Raptor SD (Super Duty) that the dealer had to replace the same crossbar between the two tranny and put in new bolts. They had to come and get it, since I didn't have a lawn trailer to load it on. It was a problem the dealers knew about and came and got it and replaced at no cost. Since I lived on a farm my mowing was a little ruffer (more bumps in the lawn) that a lot of town people (who's they didn't have to replace). The new cross bar is a lot more heavy duty.
Might want to give this a try to balance drives. Get a non-contact photo tachometer that uses reflective strips. Put the reflective strips on each tire and adjust till the rpm’s of both tires match in full forward. Of course do this with the mower jacked up. 😂 The mower will be very close if not perfect on the test drive. A bad bearing, flexing frame, tire wear…can make a minor difference so some tweaking may be necessary on the test drive but usually not. In the end it will save you time (money) when the customer has been shade treeing with the drive adjustment. If the test drive is too far off, you got an additional problem that needs to be addressed.
Great minds think alike
Just had one of those problems in my shop yesterday
Great video brother. Thanks
At least it's not just me having this problem! I had the same problem on my Raptor. Found it after the drive belt popped off. 25 cents of lock washers of thread locker would have prevented this from happening. I lay the fault for this with the assclown MBA's at Hustler trying to save a few cents on each unit and justify their bigger bonuses on the volume savings. At no time did the time and safety of their customers ever enter the equation for them. This is what happens when you let MBA's and accountants run your engineering departments. Hustler gets a big "Way To Fail!" on this one.
I just bought me a brand new hustler raptor x54 a few days ago
Great videos what size bolts did I need underneath
What direction do you turn the bolt to speed up the transmission on any given side?
I have a Big Dog MP that the seat back has broken loose and touches the engine. Can seat be fixed or where can I find the best deal on a new seat?
What kind of sockets are those
How about low hydraulic oil where is it going
I have 22" tall tires on my z2t mower and it only runs 6 mph so with the original 20" tall tires it surly won't run up to 8 mph like cub cadet says.i smell another class action deal like when they over rated their hp
What direction do you turn the nut to adjust?
clockwise is right counterclockwise is left
Mower medic I have a question for you I just bought my first brand new zero turn its a hustler raptor x 54 inch deck it only has 5 hours on it now is it normal when your going forward or backwards or turning left or right for the hydro gear on each wheel to make life a whining noise when the machine is moving like I said this is my first zero turn I've ever had I was always used to ones that had a regular steering wheel I bought this machine brand new I have 5 hours on it now like I was saying I didn't know if it was normal or if I should take my machine back to the dealer I bought it from to have it checked out my machine has the maintenance free hydro gear I believe because there is no oil tank under the seat or filters on the hydro gear on this machine
Absolutely
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 thank you Mower Medic I believe your name is Jeremy if I'm correct I was just wondering if that noise when the machine was moving is normal or not because like I said this is my first ever zero-turn mower I'm getting used to it more and more I watch your videos all the time you're really smart on small engines keep up the good work God bless you
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 I just didn't want to go to the dealer and waste time and gas if there isn't anything wrong with my new hustler raptor x thanks again
Hey hoping you could clarify a situation I'm in. I have the zt3400 hydro gear transaxles on my gravely proturn152 and in the gravely owner's manual it says to use only synthetic oil in the hydros but the manufacturer of the transaxles say not to use synthetic oil. Is there a reason why the gravely manual would say to use only synthetic oil in the hydros, contradicting the transaxle manufacturer recommendation to not use synthetic oil in them?
20w50 full syn is what I run
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 gotcha, I've been wanting to change the hydro oil for 3 days and couldn't understand why I was getting conflicting information from 2 different sources. I found a hydro gear oil change kit on Amazon that I ordered but it doesn't say the type of oil it is, it just comes with 5 quarts of hydro gear labeled oil. Figured that was the safest route since gravely and hydro gear aren't on the same page. Hopefully it gets here soon cause I'm 100 hrs overdue.
I agree 20w 50 full synthetic
Hmm I've read a Rotella 15w40. Same oil I use in my cummins is what is suggested for them. Actually most sat the synthetic version of it. Or the delo400 synthetic. I was actually on here looking for videos as that's my next on my to do list
What up guys I'm working on 2016 Dixie chopper i've already changed the battery put a new battery in. Worked good for couple of days but now started doing the same. Sounds like the battery is not any good but is new and fully charged. I cleaned all wiring connetion but that did'nt help any. It has a 350cca battery in it... I'm thinking it might be stater solenoid or the starter motor.. Any help will be appreciated
Is the charging system working? You could test with a multimeter if you have one.
Yes I do have one. I checked from the battery terminal to the bolt on starter motor and there was 0 voltage.
@@albertosanchez3350 If you think it's the solenoid you can bypass it by putting a screwdriver between the two big posts. Check the battery voltage using the multimeter. It should be at least 12. When the machine is running, it should be above 13. Below 10 will not start the engine.
@@brandonsnider7907 i found out the battery is bad. So the sistem isn't charging I guess?
@@albertosanchez3350 If the charging system is not working, I think you should take it to a repair shop.
Thats not good. That will cause that problem for sure!
