Notice: Following the revelations of Edward Snowden, another IT specialist working at the Danish Defense Intelligence department discovered some anomalies related to telecommunication going through Denmark back in 2015 and notified management. This resulted in an internal investigation which showed that a lot of politicians, amongst others, were having their telecommunications surveilled. So it seems the Danish Defense Intelligence had a blind/naive trust in their American counterparts, at least initially. To my knowledge the surveillance was terminated, but who was then made aware of the embarrassing findings in the resulting report "Dunhammer" is not known at this point.
The company responsible for running the internet backbone network in Denmark, TDC, was back in 2012 using advanced Huawei equipment (and they still do to this day), like Huawei Optix OSN 6800, which was offered by Huawei at very lucrative terms. @@furryrupert3739 I never said spying was ok, but the fact of the matter is that this isn't new. Of course I dissaprove of the FE's actions. Also to clarify, we weren't the ones spying. @@snowsoldier7779 .........When you say "partners spying on each other is not a new phenomenon ", you are practically giving an excuse for the spying that was carried by Denmark and the US. And for Denmark's spy agency to allow the US to collect data about politicians from Germany, France, Sweden and Norway, that action itself is knowingly abetting the US to spy on the leaders of these countries. And in doing that, in a court of law, Denmark would have been found guilty of being an accessory to a crime, in this case, an immoral wrongdoing.
