when I saw feather duster in the side deck I realized I could make it out of clay. I looked up Feather Duster and made one about 3 inches long and an inch tall it's mint green.
What funny timing, I was just working on something similar for a tcgplayer article! This is super cool
Wake up babe, it’s time for the by-yearly AlphaYGO video.
What would u side acording to match? thx
I was trying to find an updated list and you just crush it! What are your thoughts on the horus and bystial engine?
@@brandonchan1101 Thank you, really appreciate it!
For some quick thoughts:
Bystials I've tested and I do think they are strong
But I think the reason is because they're naturally strong cards, rather than cards that help RDA directly
Early into the game, they often felt more like hand traps rather than extenders in RDA, but I'm sure there will be a future format where Bystials will be so important again that this downside won't matter!
Horus I haven't tested truthfully so it's harder to give an honest review on them. However at a glance, it seems like RDA doesn't utilize the multiple level 8 bodies as efficiently as other strategies. Would love to see if someone figured out a cool combo with them though.
@@AlphaYGO awesome! Thank you very much for the reply 💪🏽
May I ask what is your usual siding pattern? Like it obviously depends on the matchup but which cards should I prioritize to remove from the main going first/second, ecc.
I'd also like to know which line you prefer to pursue: the centurion or the rda? I ask this considering droll will probably be more popular in the future due to fiendsmith and getting drolled in the centurion line aint too bad usually because you just need 1 card, while in rda you're probably gonna add more than just 1. Obviously getting drolled make sure you cant play both lines.
Maybe im overthinking it so in case let me know lmao.
Thx in advance!
At the moment I haven't mapped out a solid siding pattern, and as you mentioned, with so many match up dependent situations, the theory could go on forever. But I left some thoughts below and hopefully it can be of some help!
It's not perfect, but some food for thought!
Going 1st:
I try to maintain the engine as is and try not to remove any RDA or Centur-ion cards since the deck's win condition (Calamity) is universally quite strong.
There are some match ups where Red Reign or Centur-ion Phalanx aren't as important, so they could be sided out alongside your other non-engine (typically Crossout targets where applicable)
Going 2nd:
I find that cutting a couple of Centur-ion cards (mainly Stand-Up & Oath) to make room for more non-engine (typically board breakers) is a decent compromise. Red Reign & Phalanx also being good options since they're both trap cards. Of course, there is also wiggle room in your Crossout targets, to make room for high impact non-engine for the respective match up.
As for your other question.
I typically like to start RDA first, mainly because I personally view the Centur-ion cards as extenders. Your opponent will often throw all their hand traps at your RDA combo, and resolving Centur-ion for Calamity becomes a lot easier. I also highly value any opportunity to resolve Crimson Resonator, which leading with Centur-ion cards may make awkward.
If Droll becomes prevalent, adapting the gameplan would be best. However, I think when you open RDA & Centur-ion cards, playing through Droll is feasible regardless of which you prioritize. It's when you get hit with Droll + another hand trap where the combos may not pan out as planned.
Anyways, hope some bit of my rambling was insightful in some way!
On the pure or with bystials do you recomend to still use only 1 of the red king lotus?
@@jorge126790 i think it ultimately comes down to preference!
One benefit of 3 copies, is it gives you greater odds of seeing one in your hand, and if your soul resonator gets stopped, you can still combo
However, when you don't have a soul resonator around, Flame Lotus King in hand does feel weaker I believe.
Due to the current pool of Dark Dragon Synchros available, the lvl3 non-tuner body doesn't pair amazingly with the other tuners.
So at the moment, I've been content with 1 copy but I can see this changing easily whenever new cards are released!
Is Emblem Oath required? Kinda expensive to shill for a playset... Thanks!
I wouldn't call it mandatory since the deck can still operate without them.
But the consistency it provides and how it lets you play through handtraps has definitely been a plus.
I’m unfamiliar with the spell card you called “oath”. What’s the name of the card I want to order it
@@Brandon-ww3pj The card is called "Emblema of Oath"!
Explore reducing bone to 2 and running crimson to 2. Crimson gets called by a lot. Cut legatia, add cosmic blazar dragon.
Legatia comes up as it also triggers Gaia to summon rda back, also kinda mandatory if you only see centur-ion engine having the draw changes games. I play a budget version of this deck so I know 😎
@@squid_duelist I play this deck full time. My Centurion engine is just Trudea, primeria, 1 FS, 1 Wake up, 1 Phalanx. No need for all the other cards. Going down the regular combo line for this deck, RDA will bridge into the centurions with Auxilia and start the engine.
Would you still recommend the pure version of the archfiend deck?
Definitely!
I enjoy the pure build just as much and I think it has its own merits as well.
@@AlphaYGO Are there any changes you would do compared to the last pure build you showed us on spankos channel?
Is that cuphead music in the background or am i tweaking
tweaking im afraid
Red lotus king in 1 or 3 what is better ?
@@The-Sentry-Void After testing both 1&3
The benefit of 3 copies is that if your soul resonator gets stopped, you may have opened a copy already, allowing you to combo
One issue with 3 is that, it only really pairs well with soul resonator
Because the other tuner levels + lvl3, doesn't make any amazing Dark Dragon Synchros right now
It's ultimately personal preference, but I'm content with 1 copy at the moment!
Is this a 50 card list?
50 cards for this version, yup!
@@AlphaYGO is droll strong against this deck? Would be interessting, how it perform in next Format. What are u thoughts?
@@mrFutureTuber I would describe Droll as strong against this deck, but the main obstacles are usually Droll + another hand trap.
Otherwise, I've been finding that average hands can navigate through Droll to a reasonable extent.
leave these decks, we want ddd
😭 alright bet
@@AlphaYGO :P
This deck isn't bad but however there are some issues
50 card build is kinda crazy i feel like your going to brick alot on traps and stuff you don't wanna open
No void apocolapse which is a continues spell that helps you extend through interruption on soul
3 red rising isn't mandatory in the centurion build as you don't want to make it going second
Wake up and phalanx are nice but they can be bricks if you open them but have no ways to make them live making them situational.
Not a bad list tho
