Sometimes managers are incompetent and look for a scapegoat to take the focus off or blame for their incompetencies.

@1sassyclassyselah284 I agreee - a number of managers are not great at what they do and do try to shift blame. Way too many managers are thrown into the deep end and expected to be good at managing without any help. Others are just not interested in learning or improving. J

Sometimes these steps just don't work. I am being undermined by my manager. HR don't want to get involved. I can't get any allies. My trade union rep has tried to help but they don't want to escalate things. They tried to put me on a PIP review and HR threw it out, so now they have stepped up their attack of me, turning colleagues against me. I don't want to leave my company. I have spoken to my organisation's Unacceptable behaviour Officer and they agree that I am being personally attacked. It's raised my stress levels through the roof.

Sometimes no matter what you do, it is not possible to overcome the hurdles managers above you put in place. If you can't get allies, which I view as essential to this process, your options are limited. From what you write, I suspect your practical options are to fight with external help (lawyers, tribunals etc) which will be stressful and time consuming and it will not necessarily mean you stay in your role. Or you choose to leave and spend your energy and time on pushing your career forward in a company more appreciative of you. I appreciate that leaving may not be right or fair and may feel like defeat. It is an option which is likely to make you happier and move your career forward faster. Keep believing in yourself!

They are usually keen to managers with more senior authority. I won awards and created projects that generated huge revenues in the company only to be undermine by everyone, even the HR. HR won't get involved. They said by default, Senior Mamagers feedback are more recognized than the lower ranking employees regardless of the outcome of my work.

The situation you describe sounds very tough and unfair. If senior management and HR are not helping, from my experinece, your choices are put up with it (not fun) or move company. You know the situation best so do what is best for you. J

The manager im replacing is undermining me for taking his role. Its absolutely disgusting. Hes only 4 years older than me but i have been in the industry much longer with more experience. He assumes his knowledge about the system works over industrial experience.
Im using your tips. Thanks mate.

Glad you are finding the tips useful. Being undermined after replacing an individual in their role is probably fairly common. It is tough situation for both parties to deal with. J

@zakzy6321 Sorry for the late reply. Have you sat down with the person and explained what their behaviour is doing to you AND asked what is causing them to behave in that way? A direct approach can work particularly when you are confident and don't appear too put out by their behaviour. J

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my CZcams channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,099 subs and > 900 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

@@Enhancetraining Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my CZcams channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a CZcamsr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this CZcams thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support! I am hoping that you can join me with this endless personal development journey! :)

@@angiesmith3209 I've worked about 4 jobs like that. With women there 70's and they are comfortable.
They have their network, know what buttons to push. And how to manipulate the situation.
They will stay there forever. And they can say it's discrimination etc... unless the company loses a lot of money. Or too many good workers leave because of them; they won't do anything.
Companies are so greedy that they just have; a Warm body in a position. They don't make changes; if the people there; are tolerating the situation and making them money.
Easier to push off whatever mistakes to somebody else.
When I've had enough, I was doing more work than benefited me. Or the reward was so low....I know it was time to move on.
You have to be the change you want; because they never will.
