I was there last night and have to say this show was about as good as it gets. This band is soaring to remarkable new heights right and we are all blessed to play witness. A few thoughts: 1) Cotter is a machine. Dude can play both gentle and with intense ferocity at the same time. He is so dynamic able to seamlessly move from one complex rhythmic idea to next with absolute ease and fluidity. Not to take away anything from the others, but Cotter is already a top-2 athlete on this team, and it's just show #4. 2) The jamming since Cotter joined has taken a qualitative leap forward. This group is so confident right now, they are giving themselves tremendous freedom to explore the space. They are putting themselves far out there, really untethered to the initial launchpad of the song...this can be a scary and intimidating space to play in, but they are consistently nailing it and creating incredible magic in the process. These jams are much more spacious, open, exploratory and dynamic than what we heard previously (and those old jams are pretty damn great as well!). I find Rick is very consciously laying back longer, letting the groove evolve and take shape more before he kicks in with his soaring licks. 3) The crowd is totally bought in, hook line and sinker. And with every great jam band, the band needs this intense level of buy in and acceptance in order to explore the uncharted waters of these 20 and 30 minute jams. Obviously, there is no way the band can always nail it when going so far out there on a limb so the crowd is basically gifting them the freedom to truly explore and find that magic. It's a beautiful thing to experience. Keep rockin boys:)
You literally put everything into words I was thinking the entire night.. thank you.. you can almost see it in Peter's energy throughout the night.. it's like even HE can't Believe what they are actually doing.. it's incredible..
Brand new fan here. Been listening to these guys for about a week but I’ve been watching these live shows the past few days and man I’m obsessed. I haven’t stopped listening to them once today. Gonna try to score tickets for San Diego and LA tomorrow.
New fan here too, coming over from the Dead And Company camp as they're staying in Vegas this summer, started exploring Goose last year, but seriously since February
This Tumble is the jam of the run for me (I think), unbelievable! Gets funky after the song and rolls into a beautiful melodic jam. Add a dash of good foot at the 1:20 mark, holy smokes!
I was there Sunday and Wednesday (1st and 3rd) nights. So much joy in the room. It seemed like everyone knew they were witnessing something special. Long live Goose!!!
I find it really profound how y’all post whole shows like this for people to access all over the world who couldn’t be there…seeing the whole show on video still isn’t as good as going to a concert in person-so why not just post the whole concert if it’s possible? So many bands want you to pay to see the whole livestream from a show, and goose is making themselves easily accessible so that we become even more excited by their music and inclined to buy tickets. I’m blessed to be seeing them in Indy this summer! Can’t wait, it’s gonna be my first time seeing them! Seeing whole shows like this for free are getting me PUMPED for seeing them live this summer, and I love that we can experience at least a fraction of what it’s like to be at a show! Thank you goose! Keep it up! My band is playing the mousetrap in Indianapolis in June and I always think about these guys when we play there!
Y’all are so locked in and moving as a unit, that tumble jam is so tight - Trevor, Jeff, and Cotter keep the pocket so clean and groovy for Pete and Rick to slay over
Trevor didn't have to thump us on the head so hard in the beginning of the jam. Almost crashed on the way to work because my stank face was so deep I couldn't see. Then it just SOARED from there. 😂

EoA, Atlas Dogs, and Tumble were unreal. 1st set was an all timer for me! Transformative set when we look back on Goose's evolution 5,10,20 years from now.
The 80's covers , you're right , indie band in a jam band scene, you're right there too . No hate , just an observation from an experienced concert goer . Music is subjective though , enjoy
This a joke right? I am guessing nobody here is any sort of a musician. Or at least a decent one. These are just recycled Phish jams. They are literally just following a blueprint laid out for them by later day phish. There is NOTHING NEW GOING ON HERE MUSICALLY. And the keyboard player may as well just be a recording. He is playing single repetition arpeggios. Holding down one key and jumping like a practicer of the Jane Fonda workout tapes from the 80’s. But to each their own. Music is subjective I guess. But to say you “feel sorry for anybody who doesn’t get it” is insane. And something only a jamband follower would say. Not to mention they are the boy band of jam acts. Ear piss manufactured for sale by Shapiro and marketed to keep his venues afloat. We get it. You missed Phish and tGD and need to have your own thing. That’s almost respectable. But for gods sake just stop acting like they are anything but what they are. Generic and done before many times. Just like UM, and all failed jam acts that people claimed would be the next big thing, this is just regurgitation of what has and was already done by greats before them. Be honest with yourself these guys won’t even be a footnote in music. And deep down I think the “honkers” know this. Which explains the total try hard attitude of all their fans. In 5 years you won’t admit to listening to them. Let alone making idiotic statements like “they will change your life”. Stop watching almost famous and go find something new. Or at least a band that is trying to push boundaries. Sorry for the rant. But sometimes the jamband crowd is a little tough to swallow. And it doesn’t go down easier when it’s been reheated for the 75th time.
@@ryanodonnell2620 wow.. What's it like being THAT GUY? All music is influenced and derivative.. all of it.. instead of appreciating the fact that there are bands that will continue what better jam band started and keep the scene alive, you'd rather shit on it. Cool look. Like every other "I saw Jerry" Dead Head that came before you. For people that have never been exposed to music like this or people like this, experiencing Goose because it's not "their parents music" will, indeed, be a life changing experience.. despite your feelings about it. I'm quite happy Goose is out there filling smaller venues and giving me nights like this one. You're the other guy. That's fine.
I had only heard a song or two of Goose before this. I tuned in right at Vampire Weekend and was not into. Luckily when Goose came back on I was relieved and overal pretty impressed. I think I will go to my first Goose Show this summer and see what its all about. Trey playing with Goose is one thing but Mike Gordon and Vampire Weekend...What?..WTF
I am guessing yes, the only difference is the chat will be permanently unavailable and night two might get a reupload, maybe they did it already, i've not checked.

They sound muddy in the mix..Maybe this is why he didn't give a serious kit rundown..He isn't awair of what he has just bought maybe..it happens all the time ..lol

Grateful Dead business model. Goose studied well. Does a deadphish equal a goose?!🤔👍🏻. Love this band.
