    At $5 per user a medium-sized business would be paying about $30,000 a year to use this product. Why would anyone not go with a proprietor that offers per app pricing?

    • @AppSheetTraining
      @AppSheetTraining  Před 3 lety +3

      Great question. Typically, not every employee of a business will use an app built with AppSheet. AppSheet shines when dozens of small/medium apps are made that automate tedious manual processes. The value gained there is significant.
      If there’s only one app that needs to be used company wide, maybe AppSheet is not the right solution, but it’s still competitive with some per-app solutions once development time is considered.

    Is this good for an e-commerce app? because, customers may login even for window shopping and for those sign-in users if I have to pay $5 for each month, I don't think it's a viable solution. Please clarify if I understood wrong about Licensing. Coming to guest user or sign in user, I prefer sign in user.

    A shame Appsheet is currently offering no plan for customer-facing apps. Largest market in the game. In our case, we're talking several thousands of users and I am not going to pay $5 for every account ... per month. The pricing model is not confusing, it is just actually bonkers.

      I mean what the hell... Not all apps are done to generate money. It could be to share information or a passion. If I have 3000 customers that comes read my recipes I will have to pay 15.000 usd a month ? Where do I find that money ?

    Hi,
    I have got quote for the AppSheet Enterprise Standard plan costs $20/user/month on an annual basis with a minimum of 20 users. it will be playing to 20*12*20= $4800 per year. so it is very costly to the small size of companies between 20 to 49 employees.

    • @AppSheetTraining
      @AppSheetTraining  Před 3 lety +1

      Purchasing a year of licenses is definitely a big decision. In most situations we find the apps bring back much more value to the company than the cost of licenses.
      For an example: if a single app frees up an Employees (who's paid $10/hr) a total of only 2 hours a month it pays off itself. On top of that we find the Data it creates for analytics and Automation to be even more valuable. Also licensed users can use unlimited Apps for no additional cost so we find that freeing up a user for 2 hours a week or even a day is totally achievable.

    • @AppSheetTraining
      @AppSheetTraining  Před 3 lety +1

      If an employee works for $10/hr for 8 hours a day for 20 work days per month then AppSheet only has to increase the efficiency of that employee by 1.25% a day for to have reached the value of a $20/month license.

  • @chukwuebukanwajagu5922

    Hi. I appreciate your publication. But I have a lot of questions on Appsheet storage and price.
    1. When I create an App for a client using. My appsheet act. which is on Free plan. Do I have to upgrade my acct for the client to use the App and access other features like security filter and co.
    2. How do one change ownership on Appsheet.
    3. How do I store my data in a private domain on Appsheet and does that affect the pricing of my App.
    Will really appreciate your support.

    • @AppSheetTraining
      @AppSheetTraining  Před rokem

      1. Features like Security Filters are available in free until the app is deployed. I would suggest after development when the app is ready to deploy to transfer/copy the app to your client's account then get them to deploy/pay. If they would like you to support it further they would pay for you to be a user.
      2. I suggest them copying the app by adding them as a user then copying the app using the 3dots in the my apps page\
      3. not quite sure what you mean by this, would you like to store the data on a sql db without paying for the appsheet sql connector?

    • @AppSheetTraining
      @AppSheetTraining  Před 2 lety

      it would in fact be a very expensive solution if that’s the only app you intend to build.
      Since you pay per user it incentives building a whole ecosystem of apps that automate/digitize multiple workflows. if you have a hundred users each using a single app it’s the same price for those 100 users to use 10 apps. With that being said yes it would not be the cheapest platform for just clock in out workflow, but if you utilized Appsheet to automate multiple workflows then you would save much more than $10 per user/month.

      @AppSheetTraining  Před 3 lety

      At 50 users, you’re looking at at least $250/month for user licenses. That’s normally not a major expense for an operation employing that many people, but it won’t work with the revenue margins you’ve described.
      You may look at another platform like Bubble.io or Adalo that has better pricing for your type of use case

    • @AppSheetTraining

      We usually suggest people to get the Core option because it the majority of feature 90% of AppSheet Apps need. Biggest reason you'd usually go higher is the need to use SQL.
      You will add them using the 'add user' icon in the top right. Whitelisting their work emails and setting them to 'can use app'. They will each receive an email and they will be able to authenticate an account using that email. They will be able to use on browser by signing into appsheet with that email or by phone when the download the master AppSheet app on app store then log in with that email.

      in a pbulic app there is no ability to have 'Users' so there is no users roles or permissions. Also there are no security filters so all the data is sent from appsheet to the users browser/device meaning if they are programming savvy they can access any of the data connected to the app.
