- A Little Reminder of Who Runs the Block Haulover Inlet Boats
Haulover Inlet is a man-made channel in Miami-Dade County, Florida. It connects the northern end of Biscayne Bay with the Atlantic Ocean. The inlet was cut in 1925 through a narrow point in the sand between the cities of Bal Harbour and Sunny Isles.
The inlet entrance channel is 400 feet wide and 14 feet deep. It's dangerous to navigate because it features:
Sandbars
Rock walls
Strong tide currents
Gusty onshore winds
There is no speed limit at Haulover Inlet.

Shout out to the guy in the 14’ aluminum boat with the 30hp Yamaha! That’s my kind of guy!
Holy shit, I was just going to say something along the lines of what you said. What skill or talent does it take to buy a boat and put your foot into it or firewall the throttles. Now if you can Paddle into a 15' beach break barrel at La Fonda or deep water reef like Todos Santos, drop in, barely catching a rail, pull up and get covered up, pump out, escape and kick out and paddle back, then you can claim to be a Big Balls O'Reilly.
My wife has never driven a boat before and she too can firewall the throttles and hang on with the same results we see here. Shit it takes more balls and skill for her to never have ridden a motorcycle before and jump on my son's YZ250F and take off on it at Cal City when she was damn near 50 years old.
You didn't find that whole ensemble a little weird no?
@@MarcusKeeler - Better weird than boring.
Looks like a 13 ft fiberglass Boston Whaler that is rated for 40Hp.
@@tomsreviews238 aluminum, can even see the steel rod in the gunnel roll is rusting, leaving streak down the side at the registration numbers.
Even little Whalers have a hull and cap. Neighbor gave his son a 13' Whaler for the river, said if he handles it right, doesn't bust on snags or floaters he'll get the Sea Ark he actually wants.
All this video did was show me how poor I am.
I’ve heard that truck drivers are rich😂
Not really . This video shows you how poor your leaders are
Or how much debt people really have
buy a jetski, 2k$
Right? I was just trying to calculate about how many dollars each of those horsepowers cost. And it's a lot.
7:00 The guy with the least amount of money is the most responsible, he's only one who's kid is wearing a life vest.
5:30 I think he need a few more fishing poles.
The guy whose son is wearing the life jacket may have the least money but he is definitely the wealthiest.
👊😎
Ironically that caution to the wind attitude is probably how these folks afford these toys.....
That first boat w triple outboard s wow she cuts beautifully thru them swells nice job Capt
Looks like a super smooth day!
4 engines on the transom, still needs a tow.
6:51 Captain BADasss.....my dude!
Wow ! Pretty flat water so super kool to see.
Don definitely left his mark in the go-fast boat world.
Sure did.
calmest day ever
yep. im broke . i struggle everyday. and man am I glad i dont have to worry about my 4 mortgages and millon dollar a month expenses to pay for all the stress. I just come here and enjoy the excellent vidography . and im happy with that.
lol wat, you have million dollar a month expenses? what kind of business do you run lol
heck yeah brother, life is awesome for awesome people, no matter anything
@dalemullins4562 I have to think one of the happiest people I have ever seen was a Jamaican walking in the mountains with a stereotypical stick slung over his shoulder, with all his belongings hanging off it, singing, with not a care in the World.
I don't see too many guys smiling from behind the wheel of their 550SELs.
Keep smiling.
Yep I rather be that Jamaican with a stick.Than a guy with a 50 ft Cigarette Boat with a couple pretty girls draped on my shoulder with big stogey and a cold beer hauling ass back from the Bahamas from a lunch date.I would be so unhappy.BS
@@elkarlos814it's like the business man who moves to the Mexican beach to go fishing.
Having your spine compressed is always so much fun.
6.54, excellent seamanship and cares about safety.
BRAVO.. Thank you..👍👍✌
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching and comment!!
When the supercharged carburetted, Cigarettes, Apaches, Hustlers, etc rolled through, the sound reverberated against the windows. A brutal sound. The sound of freedom.
The way sound travels at night is amazing
Don Aronow would be proud RIP 🙏
Cant decide if the guy in the Tahoe T16 is madman or skilled captain running that thing in open water
Driving a big boat fast through the inlets is the equivalent of me driving my 5 mile long pothole-filled (and I mean truely filled) dirt road at 60-80 MPH just to save time and from being beat to death by the road. Speed helps in some situations, and the brake is not always the best answer.
So as you have truely, i.e. actually, filled in all the pot holes someone like you would have made it a proper job and made it as smooth as a baby's bottom. So it must be OK to run your veyron at 250 mph as well.
The MJM 40z was clearly the nicest of them all!
The little boston whaler with bow steer is epic
I'd prefer the See Vee that was cutting behind it! Great fishing boat.
My friends always told me to buy a boat with twin outboards so I could always get back home with 1 engine if necessary. I guess the big center console needs just one more.
I’m gonna open a boat repair shop and a doctors office right on this corner. Then I’m gonna put up a huge billboard. Doctors office on the way out side of the board, boat repair on the other side.
The boat at 5:46 has a certain style to it and does not look like the usual super animated streamlined plastic bath tub we normally see.
The AWESOME POWER of .... rich bald guys!
I dislike your generalization but accept it as fact
Sounds like your jealous.
ME: 75, small inland lakes, short season up here in the N end of Idaho. '59 Crestliner 15' Voyager, various outboards up through 75hp, and 53 Crestliner 12' deckd bow Commander, up to 30hp. Bidims inflation has hit me hard. I don't have much money. I can't be on my feet long, anymore, bad back and other stuff I may get out this weekend!! High last Sun was about 45, forecast for this Sun. is EIGHTY TWO!!!
Really makes me cringe when those bad boys come out of the water and props start over rotating. The Midnight Express is just flat out BEAUTIFUL
All those engines have rev limiters and warranties. Nobody exceeded 7,200 RPM.
@@peterdarr383 Just because it can doesn’t mean it should. Your point about warranties is the reason we have such boneheaded boaters 🙄
I wouldn't buy a M.E if you paid for it.
@@signoresantinoburnett1169 I feel the same way about a Ford F150…then again, it’s the most popular truck in the country isn’t it? I don’t buy anything that wasn’t previously owned by a respectable older person.
Patience is a virtue.
Fuel guzzlers..... wow.
If you ask a car salesman how much a gallon a car gets, you probably can’t afford the car . Same thing with boating
A simple calculation is add up the HP and move one decimal place and you have max fuel consumption per hour. 4 - 250 HP engines is 1,000. So 100 gallons an hour at full tilt.
Wow is right when you're hitting 120 MPHs on water. Better rush then anything out there.
Didn't know Jack Sparrow liked Yamaha
CIGARETTE runs the block. Always will!!
Captain jack sparrow riding his book of matches 😂
"Captain Jack Sparrow", you nailed it with that comment.
Often imitated but there is only “The Cigarette”
With out a doubt the GOAT of all those boats. There is no engine in the world an i mean the world that is better sounding than the cigarette absolute GOAT, an im speaking of the old school in board not those chumpy outboards
@toddwambach7652 Do you realize that the motors used in the Cigarette brand are also used in thousands upon thousands of other boats too?
There is nothing special about those engines.
30hp Yamaha ftw!!! But it's the blue top heroes who really rule!!
It amazes me that kayakers and paddle boarders consider going through this inlet.
There should be rules against jet skiing. Only to pass through. Not to hang out looking for wakes to jump.
You sound like a lot of fun to hangout with. Not sure why, where, and how people enjoy the inlet matters to you. Looks to me like all the boaters are having a great time without you being the inlet police behind the computer ya dweeb.
America already has too many rules. We need President Trump back to get rid of the excessive regulations.
6:47 - LOL....a homemade little jobber! Now even I wouldn't want to go on that thing!
It's actually smart. Helps keep the whaler on plane
It's not homemade it's a Boston Whaler with a modification for bow steering. The boat itself is actually the best 14' boat ever made imo.
For the past 100 years boating and sailing has always been a wealthy hobby. Why are people people on this channel or watching this either jealous or surprised that todays boats are sexy as ever. In 10 years, boats will be more bad ass.
Don’t #hatethegame
6:44 that is distributing the weight wisely to keep the bow of the boat up.
Lol
When you spot the stratos dutch its a new boat from holandia🎉
looks like the 2 bald guys from Breaking Bad are still in the game!
Cigarette killed it and gave us a show of speed and sound. Haulover Inlet was once again sleeping and all boats killed it. I was really surprised to see no one wearing a kill switch and the small boat with the guy driving from the bow looked like an accident ready to happen. If he fell overboard with no kill switch what would of happened to his wife and child?
How does a pullstart start with out a kill switch 😂
How do you know he did not have a wireless one ??
1:44 Those bouncing engines won't last long above water.
So people coming in and out at slack tide are the smart ones is what i'm getting out of this video
the 42 has an 8' beam. not sure why they went with a 9'-6". almost looks like the interior drove over the performance. sl52 has a 9'. 50 apache 8'2". boat looks out of place at 0:16 . don aronow didn't build florida cruisers. still sweet
rich are most vulnerable on open water
Broski @ 7:02 was out for a good time
Belluride, that’s what I’d like. 👍❤️
My experience since the 1960's in Haulover, is that 94.625% of the 'captains' have infinitely more money than brains or experience. :)
LoL! Four peeps on board and 27 fishing rods!
And later a similar one, with just a driver, getting towed by a craft half it's size!
Oh and no safety on any of these boats except one. And that one, @ 6:49 , with the driver weirdly stood steering right in the bow, never seen that 'afore, has a kid wearing what seems to be an adult buoyancy aid, and a soon to be mother (albeit with her built in buoyancy aids,) holding the kid.
I don't care who wants to argue, these are all drivers, not captains!
That boat at 6:49 is an older purpose-built boat for fishing by Boston Whaler. The weight distribution on that boat with a passenger is damn near perfect. It is a open, scaled down version of a pilot-style boat more commonly seen in northern waters.
gotta give it to midnight express boats
2:09 is a Carolina Skiff, not California.
Thanks for the Correction!
Catalina skiff!! or even a Chicago Skiff!
a very expensive way to show off, but great if you can afford it eh
The skiff rode better than the Cig did.
cigarette has better hydro than midnight express.
Where in the world have the Legends gone? Not the same without them!
5:15 WTF Ran out of gas? How else can you disable 4 new outboards? And where did his crew go?
"IDLE SPEED NO WAKE" has a different meaning here.
if i had a big boat i would always have a nice dime piece riding in it, why not
I am new to the site how do you know the type of boat each one you show?
Welcome aboard! The order of the information sources we typically follow is: brands and styles printed on the boat, boat's HIN/VIN. When there is no information that can be traced, we search on the internet, manufacturers' or boat sales websites. Over time, many can be identified just by looking at them. Thanks for Watching!!!
Welcome to lifestyles of the rich and famous….
Whats the boat with the five orange engines at 1.50?
Midnight Express.
I ain’t never seen a surfboard with 40hp and steering wheel on it nose
CIGARETTE THE🐐‼️ 🫡🇺🇸❣️
did I just find halover inlet boat content beef?
The first cigarette may have been fastest, but I’d take the Everglades smooth comfort over that any day
Compare them both at a same speed and you'll find the Cigarette rides better. My 23T Contender rids better then buddies larger Everglades.
So a Cig can't ride smooth? Ever been on one?
Yes if you trim the tabs and outdrives to push the bow down to run on top cutting the waves with the hull deadrise
A serious question from someone not living in that part of the world. What do those guys with Quad and Quint motors DO with those boats ? Do they just charge around compressing their vertebrae wanting to be seen before heading back to the fuel dock ? Please explain the attraction.
They go to dock side bars and pick up chicks.
Doing over 100 mphs on water is worth the cost. Best feeling and rush out there. We also go places with our boats. Bahamas, Keys, Marco Island.
I am glad we have laws against boats speeding so close to shore here.
why-scared
I hate the fact that they want that fast with small children
I have owned a cigarette boat for most of my life but not as nice as the first one in this video, but captain every clip that i see you in you are bouncing around like a basketball (your killing me smalls) TRIM YOUR DRIVES Please..
Exactly
Cigarette is so cool. Midnight Express sound like a fart in comparison.
6:48 is my budget
Haven't been on a boat for years, did the ocean get more dangerous? Or are people just less responsible with their safety and their passengers comfort/safety? How many bow riders have to get compressed spines? Because the captain couldn't check the wind direction and speed? It's like watching children drive yachts! Woo hoo launch off every wave...big fun!
flying a drone over these things is wild...someone looking for some t n a?
I don't kno what it takes to keep these kinda cig boats from flipping over, hav
seen that allot of times, these guys must be good at handling their boat. Tho
and add them up, each outboard is $150 G's and up.
Try that on a bad day
I don’t understand the “no speed limit” thing… that just seems insane to not enforce one⁉️
as my Mom used to say...I wonder how the poor folks live??? lol
That was a Carolina Skiff not a california.
Thanks for the correction!
You're welcome. Thanks for all your uploads. @@HauloverInletBoats
Why do the majority of boats have outboard engines?
Outboards are easier to maintain and generally have fewer maintenance issues. They cost less too.
I see the biggest boats are owned by Sheriffs and DAs.
Not even rough out.
@0:30 buddy almost blew a motor lol
No he did not! Why don't you leave the boat conversations to the educated folks.
Not much of a challenge on a calm day
Who has the most world racing titles though?
Victory has 14 C1 championships.
The first boat, if your going to brag about a boat doing a great job pick a day were a canoe would have a hard time. If that was ground you could golf on it.
They own it cuz its flat calm.
Boat people always have money who can afford to run 2 super car engines full chat for hours if not loaded
Riddle me this? Why is it 90% of the time it’s only dudes on these go fast boats???
😮if you could only see below in the cabin 😂😂😂
Determined to force DEI, Gvt education has not figured out a way to force their other sexes [?] to 'only spend their money on go fast boats?🙃
On weekends those boats are loaded up.
you spelled "Sea Ray" wrong
Thanks for the correction!
I'd take that skiff over the Cigarette
LOL!!!!!!!!! Cuz the 200 hour refresh on two Merc 1350 racing engines is more than you make a year !!! LOL
I'm worried that the people in the largest boat weren't having any fun. I hope I can sleep tonight.
PFD's. Please.... AH just kid's. you can always breed more!
A lot of these fishing birds have like two people but they got like 40 fishing poles. That shit doesn’t make sense.
That’s fishermen for you….
I know it looks funny but many are tied different ways for different fish and rigs. Saves time on the water
Sea rEy? Seriously dude?
The inlet.
Isn't even rough in this video no waves. I've seen million dollar boats.Take a beat down and sink
when the surf is rough there.
The big Cigs run the block, fuc those gay axopr things. Few more rides on the Midnight express and the clueless owner is going to be screaming at the service manager what do you mean my motor mounts and blown gearcases are not covered under warranty
1st
WoW! dude at timestamp 7:00 is really about that family safety, one good wave and they're all in the water😬 I guess he listen to the "SMALL CRAFT ADVISORIES" before he took the family out😁 or she's one of those I'm coming too ladies, she looks pregnant too
I’m going to start a inlet boating channel also. Everyone else has one
pfffffft... calm day, ebb tide.
The only thing better than a twin engine Cigarette......its TRIPLE engine Cigarette !!!!!!!!!
Wait! Two overweight middle-aged bald guys run Haulover?
my grandmother could have kayaked the bar on this day. Why even bother to film it?
Are there any pastimes in our country that DONT need to involve big gas guzzling engines and displays of power. It’s getting a bit sad, does this stem from peoples , mainly mens, inadequacy’s ?
I can think of two.
If you have the money, why not spend it? And why are Biden voters always obsessed with the size of other men’s junk?
