A purple unicorn in Zephyr Heights stained glass window and a purple alicorn revealed in the new Make Your Mark Special. Coincidence? Maybe? Maybe not? Let's dive in and take a look how the this alicorn could be Twilight Sparkle's apprentice.

WRONG. The comics are considered LIGHT CANNON.
That means Whatever happens IN THE COMICS ARE CANNON. There is ONLY ONE WAY A light cannon can be REMOVED FROM TRUE CANNON. THE SHOW ITSELF HAS TO HAVE SOMETHING THAT CONTRADICTED THE COMIC. And from what I saw. NOTHING HAS DONE THAT! BECAUSE THE MAIN SHOW HAS NOT EVEN STARTED YET!
Due to the sirens being in MLPFIM SEASON 7 finale thar canonizes Equestria’s girls. And in forgotten friendship sunset makes a reference to anon-a-miss and Celestia hints at the last time which was the comic titled the fall of sunset shimmer

The journal of the 2 sister confirms that both celestia and luna are pretty much aliens of some sort "came from a land veeeery far from Equestria", so celestia's statement "the birth of an alicorn its something Equestria has never seen" actually make sense cause they dont count themselves, cause u know, they are not "ponies" or at least from Equestria.

Very good video. Here it is my theory!
1) Twilight dind't create the crystals, the apprentice did in order to enforce Harmony, and of course believing it was a good thing she gave credit to Twilight.
2) Destroying the crystals would not erase the magic from Equestria it would set her free.
3) The Alicorn needed the Magic to come back,I don't t so she can have her magic back, and she also needs someone to destroy the crystals to have free reign.
4) I don't think the alicorn and the pony in the comic are the same, despise the visual insinuation.

The theory is very interesting, but I honestly don't think the new villain has anything to do with Twilight. In my view :
- The three ponies in the stained glass windows are the ancestors of Hitch, Izzy, etc. The middle earth pony will even be Sunny's mom, which would explain her dad's knowledge. The pegasus on the right also looks very strangely like Zipp's mother, finally the queen of Zephyr High.
- The new evil alicorn is just an opportunist. In the comics, she is clearly against the other ponies; two ideas can then agree. Either Twilight hired her in hopes of changing her mind (unsuccessfully), or she stirred up conflict between the ponies only to make Twilight choose a bad decision that led to her stealing all three. gems. (Sunny's mom would have died trying to protect them)
I feel like the comics will not be canon to the animated series anyway (just like in G4), but regardless, some parts of this theory don't sound like something MLP would do. In any case, I am hoping that the new alicorn is someone from Twilight's time. It will be interesting to see what she knows about the fall of Equestria, and what role she played in it. It would help alleviate the most tragic thing about G5, which is the loss of history.

@@ronaldpagar6513 Who knows, maybe she tried to help and failed along with everyone else, or maybe she was already dead by that point. Either way, it doesn't look like History remembers much about her.

@@ronaldpagar6513 The Tree of Harmony only had Celestia's, Luna's, and Twilight's cutie mark on it. There is no indication of what comes after them.
@@yondaime500 Dawnie should of atleast got a mention. She's literally Twilights student so automatically big role. Maybe if she even was going to become a alicorn she just never got the change because mrs.purpalicorn stole the magic when she was still young. Or maybe now this would be interesting: Dawnie ended up pulling a Sunset shimmer. She does seem like she could ( how she got mad at twilight for not doing what she thought was right, how she thinks studying is more important than friendship, which is a super bad sign in mlp.) But I doubt it. Even though it would explain why she wasn't even mentioned in the comic. Maybe she just didn't do anything notable so she ended up just being a normal pony. But I have one more theory. Maybe this is a alternate reality were she became evil!
I imagine in the season finale the evil alicorn, after her defeat, will admit to Sunny that she killed Argyle under orders of either another evil pony or a group of ponies that want to usurp Twilight's throne so they can turn Equestria into a world conqueror power.
That would be dark and sounds like straight up lord of the Rings kind of theory intense.

I do have a feeling as the comics proceed we will be given more light on twilights whereabouts as I do believe she is around given it seems alicorns have a rather lengthy lifespan such as celestia for example. In my personal opinion I feel as though Twilight had no choice but to flee her kingdom once that magic was lost as ponies could have blamed her for what happened.
As for the student part of at all this alicorn was twilights student she wouldn’t have been the first alicorn to have had a student gone rogue let’s not forget celestia was subsets mentor for a time before sunset turned rogue and went down a road with no clear path before meeting twilight.

honestly, i believe the royal sisters gained wings from a great feat of "magic", and not "friendship"
Well it seems Luster at the end is Twi’s apprentice but what I think is that yes it was the pony in the MLP G5 comics and that once the mane six used their powers to make the crystals they used up all their magic and Twilight was ahem (murdered) by the now alicorn who used the magic of the crystals to go alicorn in the first place but due to her disharmonic intentions she only got the lifespan and no magic, so in rage she slammed the unity crystals which separated and thus the three pony races each took their respective crystal and over time gained fear/lost respect for the other races and then get to the events we’ve already seen.
What about every creatures in Equestria? What happened to them?
Simple, they saw the pony war and wanted nothing of it.

That's a very good and interesting theory MasterCode, at least in terms of possible origins to where that new Alicorn came from. and the way you described that theory with all the art and what not it felt like something would probably make a good mlp G5 fanfiction someday at least in my opinion.
However, i actually believe that since this Alicorn was confirmed to be partly responsible for dividing the pony races in the comics, my theory is that it could be that the reason why she's in hiding is because maybe Twilight used her magic to banish that pony from Equestria as punishment for her actions. but as for the Alicorn being Twilight's apprentice well it could be that she was like how Sunset Shimmer used to be by that i mean maybe the Alicorn was once Twilight's apprentice but when she didn't get what she wanted she became bitter and her heart hardened with hate, and so as revenge the Alicorn decided to destroy everything that Twilight and her friends build by doing exactly what Chrysalis,Tirek and Cozy Glow did by dividing the pony races and creating disharmony throughout the land.
But anyway those are just my thoughts.

I think that the mysterious alicorn is the evil twilight from equestria girls
My theory is the alicorn we see in the G5 special may be linked to the ancient crystal empire with king Sambra. Plus if we look at the G5 comic the first comic takes place after the special and the glitching from the movie still happens. The main 5 of G5 got loaded to cantorlot by Discord.
Discord grant it we can't trust him said twilight and all her friends were involved with the crystals creation. Rumor had it a alicorn was going around similar to exiled queen of the changelings causing distrust in the races. So Twilight. Gathered all magic and sealed it away. Discord wasn't able to use his chaos magic when all the races lost there magic.
If the villain is twilights apprentice that would be a interesting stretch. G5 comic has discord as a anti hero trying to destroy the crystals to get rid of magic I have my theory why on that.
But what if the evil alicorn is the lost princess of the crystal empire that was referenced in the G4 comics that could be a route the writers are taking to make the two line up as cannon in a universe.
This is just my take on it my opinion will be more decided once the comic gets more books and the series starts to fill in more details.
The special only left more questions than answers so we will have to see.
A friend also through out what if flurry, Twilight,or cadence got corrupted somehow like Luna did to become nightmaremoon or the dream battle that had Daybreaker those are also things we can't 100% rule out.
considering that twilight had made those crystals, it's a possibility that after disappearing as a unicorn, her body and even soul might've fused with the crystals, so hopefully someone figures out that the key to bringing the crystals into one is more then just that, which is how and why sunny figured it out, and they chosen her as the new leader of all 3 tripes, cause the crystals are possibly what's left of twilight

I remember Ophelia mentioning what it should to be a true alicorn mean she could be born alicorn or she was a unicorn collection enough power to become alicorn by force or alicorn who feel weakened by emotion to turn into their dark version of themselves. Mostly she could more close to how we had an unicorn turn into alicorn by forced with magic. Trying to take power for herself. Twilight mentions she a power thirsty back then having force seal magic by herself. Meaning this person had taken to magic the element of harmony causing the lack balanced the crystal as it didn’t have a balanced element. I believe Ophelia was some twilight knew but I don’t think one unicorns, Pegasus or earth pony with the crystal. Twilight knew these people and they are related to ponies in the stain glass meaning pip and zip are related to one apprentice, mayor family and Izzy. I will say this sparky is similar to that dragon princess that spike befriend, Ophelia might done something to dragon grow power and weird that their been no sign of the changelins or any of other species. And hitch has same ability to understand animals just like fluttershy.
I think the glass window is some sort of prophecy and it says that one day tree kinds of ponies find each other and each crystals and bring them back together. Everything happens under the element of magic, represented by twilights star.
And the ponies we see (some sort of "chosen ones") are Izzy, Sunny and Pipp! I think they look familiar enough to fit in this "prophecy".
I feel like the creation of the crystals occurred because of the human realm in a movie I don’t remember the name sunsetshimmer is able to go into the human world and twilight had to fallow. That caused a rift between the worlds witch allowed magic to spill into the human world this caused villains to spark up (witch is shown in the show) and once twiglight figures this out she knew that she had to seal magic in equestria to ensure the paths of her ponies be a good one. So she did. But after this the unstable nature of the crystals caused issues any disharmony caused a glitch and one day the four tribes had enough they slowly began hating magic thinking it only caused trouble. A large issue arose which caused the crystals to split, twilight used the last of her magic to send them away to the far stretches of equestria.
However for the whole new Alicorn thing I’d assume she would have been either a daughter to twilight or like you said an apprentice who went rouge? But with my idea perhaps just like yours she wanted all of equestrias power for herself and took the crystals using there power to become an alicorn witch lead to the big disagreement between pony tribes,and what then led to twilight using the last of her power to break them apart. Leaving her to the same fate you did and also leaving her apprentice with the same fate you did as well.

My theory is that Twilight gave up her immortality after her friends died, then Luster took over. Since Luster lived in an era where almost every species lived in harmony, she never experienced any apocalypses that twilight had in her lifetime; therefore, she didn't know how to face them. Because of that, this evil alicorn or whomever was able to successfully take over. Perhaps Luster or whomever is still out there trying to figure it out.

I know I’m late what with the series now finished but here’s my theory/story: many years after Celestial and luna gave twilight control over equestria after seeing she no longer needed their guidance twilight believed she could be a greater ruler if more alicorns were there to help keep the piece and harmony. She already trained flurry heart who has now become old enough to learn how to master powers but there had been no other alicorns left since cadance retired as well, so twilight searched All over equestria looking for three more ponies of each race and eventually found worthy candidates in Pegasus mare nimbus cloudbreeze, earth pony mare clover sunbright, and unicorn mare oapaline arcana all had advanced really well under her guidance and became good friends. But eventually oapaline grew jealous of twilights powers because it was more powerful than her own, she wanted that power all to herself and in her greed and envy she attempted to steal twilights powers, but when twilight found out about her betrayal she took away her alicorn powers and unicorn magic, and banished her from equestria as punishment for her actions. Not wanting nimbus and clover to go done opaline’s path she discounted her teachings but flurry heart continued to train them because she did not want them to feel hurt or betrayed because of twilight not continuing their training. But oapaline was furious, and in her anger of having her powers taken away she decided that if she could not be an alicorn of access to her own unicorn magic, then she will make sure nobody else gets to either by stealing all of eqeustria’s magic for herself, but she could not obviously because of twilight taking away her powers so she attempted to recreate her powers through the means of forbidden dark arts. But alicorn magic was never to be copied and as we saw before can only given to those who have themselves truly worthy and while it did restore her powers that dark magic she used corrupted her and turned her pure evil. Now hearing of oapaline’s plans twilight flew forth to confront her x student, but the dark magic made opaline far to powerful for twilight to handle. Now realizing she could not stop oapaline twilight used ever last ounce of here powers to trap all of equestrias magic inside three magical crystals she created through all three races friendship, then using the power of the crystals weakened opaline enough to seal her away inside the crystals but at the cost of her powers she was left completely powerless and unable to rule her kingdom, so flurry heart continued in her place with nimbus and clover by her side as her students and fellow princesses. But eventually fear and distrust grew amongst the three pony races, this was because after oapaline’s fiasco the earth ponies and pegasi finally had enough of the unicorns always being the ones to cause trouble for equestria especially after all the times it has been a unicorn to do so and they demanded that all unicorns be banished, but flurry heart refused to do so because she would stand by what her aunt had taught her. Twilight was equally hurt by the fact that her own citizens would demand such a thing especially after all the lessons she and her friends have taught them, but they were to stubborn to listen and their refusal to listen they attempted to forcefully drive out the unicorns themselves but the fighting got so out of control the crystals became highly unstable and broke apart from one another because twilight created them to be powered by equestria’s friendship. With the separation of the crystals not only did severe equestria,but cut off all magic entirely as well as broke opaline’s seal but just like how equestria lost it’s magic, she to once again lost hers with only a severely limited amount of her alicorn magic.
I bet this unknown Alicorn is the one who killed Sunny's dad and is one of the Pony clans who still hate other ponies and want to steal Twilight Spike and their friends' thrones and make Equestria be turned into a dark kingdom.

I have a theory. There's no way it's true, but I think it would be a really cool story if it was.
What if Opaline wasn't an enemy of Twilight Sparkle? Instead, what if Opaline IS Twilight Sparkle?
We know from the comics that the gems were creating by Twilight in response to the different pony races conflicting with each other, due to an, at this point unknown pony, spreading a unicorn supremacist rhetoric. My theory states that this is the pony Twilight was trying to warn Sunny about in her hologram. Regardless, the fact remains that the gems were a means of control. So, what if, after everything was said and done, Twilight's views changed. Yes, there was a superior race, but it certainly wasn't unicorns, it was alicorns. She was stronger than the rest of these ponies, and they certainly couldn't get by without her, so she had every right to control them, as far as she was concerned.
This shift towards dictatorship turned her friends against her, leading to a civil war that lead to the corruption of her form, and the spell being cast that separated her from her magic.
And now, without a leader, the tribes disbanded, each taking their gem, their meanings destined to be lost to time. Each now convinced of the failures of the magic of friendship.
However, in order to retain Twilight's legacy, stories of her life was separated from her eventual fate. Twilight could only watch as she was stripped of her identity. She was now nearly the villain that had killed Twilight Sparkle, as far as the world was concerned. However, she eventually embraced this, hence why she refers to Twilight as her enemy in the show. And, when the crystals were finally reuinted, she rose up with a new identity. Opaline was ready to take her revenge.

Im guessing twilight knows her fear for the future what may cause to destroy friendship because pegasus alicorn and earth pony to hate each other so she probably made the Crystals so she could try bringing peace together but Izzie did tell sunny what had happened to magic

i do see where your coming from but what about the other alicorns? i personaly think the power of friendship had been drained and strained already from the alicorns since they got their power from the ponies and like cozy glow said friendship is power and it was shown to be that way i believe they had no choice but to turn the crystal heart into the 3 crystals after their kingdoms where all weakened and shattered cadance magic coming from the love of ponies almost nothing, luna's coming from those who enjoy the night and would do activities of love and mischief with friends still kinda there but struggling on its own, celestia's from everypony under the sun doing what they must and enjoying life although her magic wouldn't be ass weakened it would be weakend and twilight taking over the 2 parts of the kingdom giving her 3 sources would affect her as well resulting in all 5 princesses to make it out of a crystal heart who''s magic was already dying and decided to give it a new life knowing that it posseses enough magic for what they need making it almost a battery
i noticed during the special that the door during the evil alicorn scene looked similar to the ones in canterlot castle

Hey, just wanted to let you know that around 6:56 you showed a fanart of three ponies from "working class", and judging by their appearance, one of them represents Crimea - part of Ukraine that was occupied by russia in 2014. Her mane is drawn in the colors of russian flag, too. The pony also has a Z mark on her cheek, which is currently a russian symbol of war and genocide of Ukrainians. I hope that this slipped past you only because you're not familiar with these signs, but be careful next time

I've felt that other forces other then friendship caused a division in the pony races. One theory I am working on comes from from one of the original songs.

0:55 when I saw that after finishing it I was coming up with theory when I saw the wings and horns I knew she must have been around when twilight was still here I had ideas like she is like flurry heart possibly could be twilight child because cadence had a baby who turned out to be a alicorn and this antagonist alicorn I thought the same thing and I had a theory of why this alicorn is evil ok ima go with this is twilight child and I connected this from a theory from sawtooth waves the fate of twilight spare where he theorized how twilight sacrificed her alicorn powers to save magic existing in equestria and I was thinking this antagonist alicorn whatever her name is disagreed with the situation and she was being selfish and didn’t want twilight to let the human world keep magic rather ms antagonist alicorn may wanted twilight to pull the magic out of the human world back to equestria so then they have 100% magic but twilight didn’t so this made antagonist alicorn mad but didn’t do anything since magic didn’t seem to exist until sunny and the rest of the mane 5 brought it back this caught antagonist alicorn eyes and she still seemed to be selfish resulting her to wanna take the magic for herself.

A pretty good theory but you left out two very important characters who would never allow that to happen first off there's Spike who would always be at Twilight side and since dragons are immune to magic including alicorn magic that plan would never succeed secondly you have discord who is also not would not allow something like this to happen because of what it would do to Fluttershy
