Eventually possibly. If you want to have the best chance of winning now? I don’t see it. The onboarding is going to have its issues and the assistants being bad options could make the floor very low. Hope it works out.

Congrats to Redick. He set the foundation for the job he wanted at the start of the year when he had Austin Reaves on his podcast. Then JJ started the Podcast with Lebron. Redick was after the Laker Job for a while. He wants a ring.

I love the hire. He was my first pick from the start. All candidates, including Hurley, came with risks. JJ maybe comes with more risks than any, but I do think it's pretty clear that JJ has the most potential upside. They may hit or miss, but I love the hire.

i love this hire JJ has a-lot of media friends thats gonna look out for him if things get tuff, and as far as the job i believe in his talent at every level or job he has had professionally he’s done amazing work why would this be any different? also at first i wanted zach edey to go 17 to the lakers but now im leaning to tristan da silva this guy is a shooter he shot over 42percent from three 2 years in a row and averaged 17.1 pts 5rebs and 2 assists while shooting 51.4 percent JJ would know how to get him open and get austin reaves the looks he needs to be successful so yea lets go JJ im all for it go lakers!!! 💯

I think he has great upside. There has been a lot of talk about his personality possibly turning some guys off. . I think the key there is Rob filling out the roster with JJ Redick kind of players. In that sense, it's no different than what you have to do with any coach. For example, even though the Spurs have tons of capspace, none of us think that Dlo is a Pop guy. Rob needs to familiarize himself with what JJ wants and respond accordingly. It'll make his job much easier.
I actually like this hire. I see the potential. Better then some of these four five time re-treads. JJ is a grinder gonna work his ass off.
Always thought they planned to hire JJ,. The Lakers stated at the outset they wanted someone who could grow with the franchise, and train young players over time in a designed program. He was always the 'new' fit. the UCONN guy was a McGuffin.
Problem is, JJ REDDICK EASILY becomes our best 3pt SHOOTER 🤔🤨

Looking back at it. The 2 best franchises swept the major team awards this year. In Season Tournament & NBA Finals went to Lakers & Celtics. I just hope we can at least 1 more title before LeBron retires/ leaves.

It is a good decision as there are no expectation on Reddick, he can deliver without much pressure. Reddick can have good assistants so that they can deliver better. Time to draft draft Kel’el Ware who can shoot 3s still being defensive center or Tristan DaSilva for 3D Forward along with Bronny James. Go Lakers Go !

JJ was hired the minute he started his podcast with Lebron. Don't be fooled this was the plan by Lebron from the start. They had to wait to announce until after the finals were over. Hurley was never coming. That was to keep the Lakers in the news during the playoffs. They knew Hurley wouldn't come. They knew he would turn down their laughable offer. JJ and Lebron. I just hope the Lakers gave JJ the authority to fire the front office. The front office is and has been the problem since Jerry West left. Hell Phil Jackson had the authority to get rid of West, but then he was sleeping with Jeanie. Laughable.

He told the Lakers he is not gonna be part of the decision making and they should make a decision based on the rest of the team.
Everybody always says LeBron gets coaches fired, he makes trades, etc etc but any coach or teammate of LeBron says he is very coachable, doesn't force his way and is a phenomenal teammate. I don't get it
