@@Debra.Justice take a look at The Farm in Australia! They also are incredible people who rehabilitate abused dogs and give them an incredible life! I love seeing owners who truly love their pups. Hubby and I have been rescuing beagles for 25 years now, no plans on stopping!

I had an 80 lb dog with sore hips after the age of 12 years. His doctor said it was okay to give him an aspirin every day. It seemed to make him more comfortable. He lived to be 16 years old. Passed over 10 years ago. I still miss him.
Forget aspirin, you want meloxicam compounded you can get it for cheaper, and tramadol. Tramadol is a mild narcotic it's dirt cheap and yes it does work very well. Think of an old person with arthritis, we should treat our dogs the same. Carprofen is too hard on the stomach and can cause liver issues. Meloxicam works just as well, no tummy issues, is an anti-inflammatory, and that combined with a mild narcotic like Tramadol is a winning combination for any dog with pain and joint issues
